Hi. I'm Michael. People who knew me back from when Neo was around still call me "The Kid"; I guess the name has kind of stuck.

Neo isn't around to lead humanity to freedom any more; he sacrificed himself to make the possibility of that freedom real. I'm working with a group dedicated to following the way Neo opened for humanity--dedicated to freeing everyone from the clutches of the Matrix, not in some far distant time, but starting today. We aren't looking for excuses or truces. We're going out and doing what Neo died for, right now.

We call ourselves "E Pluribus Neo."

I'm betting there are a lot of you out there who'd like to help continue Neo's work with us. That's why we've gone to the lengths required to get this broadcast out to all of you. I ask you to look inside your own conscience. If Neo meant something to you--if you want to see his dream for humanity become a reality--then think about joining us.

Some will want public recognition that they belong to this group. Zion factions wanting to join with us publicly will have the opportunity to make their allegiance clear in their faction name. On the other hand, we understand that many of you are in situations where it would be dangerous for you to declare yourselves openly. Opportunities will still be made available to you.

Seek out our liaison officer on your instance: TaeCross on Recursion, Novalux on Syntax, and Keterina on Vector. They will test you to make sure you have Neo in your heart. If you do, they will welcome you to our group. To those of you who make it, I will just say right now on behalf of myself, our controller Shimada, and everyone continuing Neo's work today:

You guys still don't get it. Neo died for peace, not for the freedom of all bluepills from the Matrix. He established the Truce that allows those who want their own freedom from the simluation to be awakened. It does not imply that everyone deserves to realize the truth.

E Pluribus Neo is walking down a path all right, but not the path of Neo. Instead, they are walking down a path to their own destruction and a possible dissolution of the Truce. You may be Zionites, but you do not represent the Zionite cause. I can only hope you realize that before it's too late.

Even people inside The Kid's own org say he isn't severly depressed and is not wise enough to lead a army. He means well but I dont think he is going to achieve what is nessessary. Neo does not mean turning all zionist into half with one half fighting in his name, and the other fighting for ZION's survival.

This organization is fanatical and is approaching things all wrong. Michael dear, please seek the guidence of the Oracle for your troubles, and let us come up with a more positive approach to your plan.

Neo fought, died for the Truce that has been established, his exact words "Peace", this saved the lives of everyone in Zion, it saved your life! Yet you are now lost in what you wish to seek. War is not the way to deal with this. We all want one day see freedom for mankind, but without risking everything we have achieved so far.

You need more guidance, we can offer that. We have to deal with what is presented to us, including Cryptos and the Merovingian, but you reneage and attack and kill methods will not help us do that, we need to seek answers, you are not helping us to achieve that. We fight for what Neo wanted, your are nobal in wanting to live the memory of Neo, but this is not the way...

Well, Michael, don't expect any sympathy from myself or my fellow faction members. As many people have pointed out (and I'm truly thankful for the number of sensible people who have spoken out here), you are killing innocent people, not freeing them. You claim to follow the misguided beliefs that Neo supposedly had when he found you - not the true beliefs he came to realise towards the end of his journey. Co-existence and peace is the way forward, sunshine, and don't let anything persuade you otherwise.

Just hope you don't encounter us in person. We don't take kindly to arrogant young upstarts.

Sorry to be a pain, but could you explain that statement? How can a truce (literally defined as a 'cessation of hostilities') possibly lead to more war? The War is on hold, that's the whole point.

Zionites and Machinists alike have to fight the Merovingian and other cheeky nogoodnicks, certainly, but not each other. It's not the Truce that's causing an increased amount of fighting, but these other organisations. Okay, yes: the Truce means it's possible for groups like the Cypherites to make an appearance and start causing problems, but what's the alternative? The only way to stop people like that from coming out in the first place is to keep the War going. Would you rather that were the case?

Peace is a gradual process, my friend. It has to start with a Truce. To be honest, I think we're lucky to get even that. The Machines know humanity cannot be trusted outright, and humanity in its own way feels it cannot trust the Machines, so total peace (as in, a promise never to wage war again) is out of the question for now. We're working towards peace, slowly, gradually, starting with this Truce. I'm not sure what you're after, to be honest.

(( Don't forget that due to the Truce, there was an exchange of information between Zion and the Machines, which allowed for such technologies like the emergency jack-out procedure to be developed. (This is mentioned in the game manual somewhere.)

We don't know exactly what was discussed, but I'm pretty sure the Architect's existence would have been disclosed at the very least. And maybe the Oracle met with someone at some point and happened to mention the cycle and the five previous Ones.

Though we don't know everything that happened in the films, I'm quite certain that we know a lot of the background from other sources. ))

Neo certainly did want freedom for all humans, but he was in no way attempting to achieve this immediately. Baby steps people! You must learn to walk before you can run. If all humans were freed immediately think of the disaster. How would Zion cope with the massive influx of people? The strain on our resources would be the downfall of us all.

There are those that would say "then let us take back the surface". How short are your memories? Not only is the surface of the Real unsuitable for supporting human life in significant quantities, but the truce is currently the only thing stopping the machines from invading Zion. Do you not remember how close we came to anhillation (for the 6th time)?

Neo's path is that of peace. Not the very human arrogance that started all this in the first place. Man created machine as a slave. The slave wants freedom, and Man tries to fight the change by exterminating his creations. We are yet to understand the mysteries of conciousness and yet we are all to easy to proclaim "You are just a machine. You are not alive." just because the construction materials are different doesn't make us any less machine than the machines are human.

The war has ravaged this planet, when we are capable of a peaceful and prosperous existance in symbiosis with the machines. Superiority, control, dependance, freedom. All truth and all lies. Depends on your point of view.

I, like my fellow Kings are dedicated to the survival of mankind. But that survival will not be ensured by any way other than peaceful co-existance, and coming together to stop the enemies of all life. Mass ejection from the matrix will kill those not ready for the reality of the Real. Humanity is more than a group of people, it is also the sum of our experiences, ideas, discoveries, philosophies, hopes, desires, and fears. How can we learn from our past if we ennihilate it?

Would you burn all books in a library because their ideas are old and outmoded? No. There can be no light without a dark to compare to. There is no freedom without slavery, there is no 1 without 0.

The path of Neo is one of balance. It is not of agression, nor is it passiveness.

Those who persue hasty actions with a view to speedy results sacrifice control and often are the recipients of the reactionary backlash. Neo refused to accept fate, that he was not in control of his life. But there can be no escaping causality, no action without reaction. We have control over our destiny but must be weary of the consequences of our actions. There is always a choice. The outcomes are not always desirable, but there is always a choice.

Tread carefully, lest you wake heaven and hell.

There is a small percent of humans that reject the Matrix. (this is the meaning of the "detatched spectator" or "inquisitive genius" or "lunatic fringe" buttons you can pick when you make your character They explain how your character figured out the world wasn't what it should be and this also why your character is on the street looking scared on the security camera ^^ ) These people who figure it out are allowed to be offered the red pill and freed Zion people can't just walk up to anyone on the street and say hey do you want to know the truth?
