Ok, when looking at the three styles in the MA tree, its obvious that karate got the short end of the stick here. You hardly ever see anyone using it, and for good reason. Everyone is either kung fu because it has good accuracy, or aikido because it has good defense. Karate has the lowest defense of the 3 and is tied for the lowest accuracy with aikido.
To compensate this, karate is supposed to do more damage. Well this is hardly the case. Karate gives 29 points of melee damage, but kung fu gives 27 and aikido still gives 26. Wow!! a whole 3 points of melee damage over aikido. Martial Arts Prowess gives 25 points!!! And karate gives a whole 2-3 more points over the other trees. For the most part, this is hardly noticeable.
So i guess to balance this out a little, maybe karate should give more like i dunno 35 points melee damage? That would be 9 points over aikido and 8 points over kung fu. This is definiely fair, since aikido has a 12 point defense advantage over karate, and kung fu has a 10 point accuracy advantage over karate. This seems like we could get more people using karate some this way.
Anyone else have anything to say on this?
