Tonight was the end of the "Step Forward" event which was created by myself and the members of The Tetragrammaton. I'm sure many of you knew that we had a connection when i released the cinematic.
In any case, this was the first event that we have done and i'd like to hear your comments about the event from everyone that participated, part one of the event, which was before the video was released, comments on the video itself, and part 2 of the event, which was after the video was released ending tonight.
I'd like to remind everyone that the purpose of this event was not to promote my faction, the machines, myself, or anything else. It was something that i have always wanted to do and really felt was necessary with the lack of live events on syntax right now. It was a Syntax event, not a machine or tetragrammaton event, something that i wanted to give back to the community. The event was also not a combat event, it was never designed to be a PVP event, it was strictly dialog and movement with very little fighting at all.
I would of course like to thank all the roleplayers that participated in the event and made it possible. The event was almost a month long and you really did add to the experience. Thank you.
Part 1 Summary
Rich Paddock and Secret Service Officers appear in Uriah, inspect bluepill corpses, Paddock starts speaking about his Step Forward program and the city cleanup program.
Several days later Rich Paddock appears at the Tabor Park town hall and gives his speech detailing the Step Forward program, he holds a press conference and tours the city for several more days after this talking to the citizens of the city. Introduced at the speech is his assistant Vanessa Hall and his driver, Walt Griffin.

My Fellow Citizens! Hello!
Its good to see you all here tonight!
As you know Megacity is not what it used to be. The killings, the gangs, the violence, the drugs, at times it seems as though everything is out of control. It is a hard time for the city, but fear not, we must be vigilant, and we must remain strong.
This, great city has been through some tough times, and I’m going to be here with you to see that this city is clean once more. We will stop the gangs, the spread of dangerous drugs and intoxicants, the horrible violence and senseless killings that I have seen first hand. Megacity will soon be a place where you can come to raise your children! You can come here and have a family, earn a good living at a safe, reliable job!
When I was a young boy we used to go to the park and enjoy the fresh clean sand, water fountains that never seemed to rust, and jungle gyms that were always, perfect. We always had such a beautiful blue sky, clean water and air to die for.
As I look around today, no one goes to the parks anymore because they are infested with these intolerable childish gangs and the spread of drugs and illegal substances. I ask you to resist the urge, stop taking and distributing these awful pills as you are accomplishing nothing but shrouding our good citizens in a veil of pain. These are not your Kid’s jellybeans. Do not make Megacity a land of Exile, make our city a paradise!
You must be asking yourselves, how will this be accomplished? How will Megacity rise above all else? I will tell you.
As part of the “Step Forward” program, the government has allocated millions of dollars to the refurbishing of the city and the distribution of new military and security forces to help clean up our streets! Fear not citizens, the city will soon be yours again, the gangs and violence will stop! Megacity will return to its previous shine!
Let Megacity be a role model to the rest of the world. Join me in the struggle to make our city great again! Will you join me Citizens!

After the press conferences and meeting with a wide variety of citizens of various beliefs and opinions. Rich Paddock announced that he would be returning the city. That next day, tragedy struck.

Part 2
With Rich Paddock now gone, many redpills felt relieved that his cleanup plan was no longer going to be a success, though some were puzzled as to why exactly he was killed. It was revieled that Walt Griffin was awakened by an inexperienced hovercraft crew during his time in the Megacity and this may have been motivation for such an act, but then again, why a military helicopter?
Officer Hunter proceeded to lead the search and investigation for Griffin and after one night of searching finnally found Griffin when he attempted to meet with one of his past life bluepill friends at the mars industrial storage facility in Uriah. Officer Hunter was shot and wounded by Walt Griffin, who then escaped to Tabor Park. Walt Griffin reported to tabor park west and gave his status to "The FIRM" a secretive, mysterious and blank government organization that knew everything about the matrix. The redpills, the war, zion, the exiles, the machines. All of it. Walt Griffin was given a new directive, to eliminate all witnessess of the attack on Rich Paddock.
Arthur Black, head of the FIRM, and Anastasia Petrova, intelligence director were at the location when the orders were given. Some redpills then spoke privately at length with each member of the FIRM in an attempt to see past the shroud of mystery.
Walt Griffin successfully assasinated two witnesses and accidently shot and killed Alan Wright, a FIRM employee, before being caught at the Hammerville High School on Friday July 7th. He was shot and killed by Officer Hunter, yet dissapeared, obviously the work of his emergency jackout protocol. He then soon appeared at the camon heights church and was reported by the authorites. Redpills proceeded to the location as did the government bluepills. FIRM member Anastasia Petrova was at the scene talking with Walt Griffin, and then announced that his emergency jackout protocol had been shut down, a display of the FIRM's power, even though they were bluepills.
Walt Griffin of course knew exactly what this meant and ran from the camon church into nearby Zia where an average of 15 people attempted to defend Walt Griffin from his death. Walt Griffin was shot and killed by Officer Hunter. Justice had been served. As the Officers walked off, Vanessa Hall revealed one final secret. She was part of the FIRM. She knew exactly what had happened all along. Reporter Kate Adie was then taken into custody, and released 10 minutes later with no memory of what had happened that night. Rich Paddock is dead, Walt Griffin is dead. The war rages on between redpills, and the FIRM gets exactly what they want, more chaos, and more power.
