Lawl.

I am actually a big fan of MA. It feels like easy mode, and is a lot less work to manage than MKT.

I like and in your face pvp load like MA, guns just dont do it for me for some reason.  I'm mkt atm but thats due to the lazy side of me

Master Assassin/Knife Thrower

I've been using it since December 2004 despite all the nerfage.

#36300354407 11/16/2007 09:35:05 Re:Your Favorite PvP class
Recently it was the same as Garu, MKT all the time.. but it's changed to a mixed sniper/gun loadout now. I just love the silenced guns. :)

MA feels like easy mode to you? MKT is easy mode way more, since MA can't do *poop* OoIL and MKT is pretty nifty in both regions.

Anyways, my favourite PvP class is still MA. The easiest to get a kill in a mess is MKT and easiest to bring down healers is sniper.

I have to admit I really do like the way my Aikido toon is rolling. My hacker RSI rolls with a nice vector-loadout and then i still got a MKT/Assassin one.. only wish I had 4 character slots on the server, cause I do miss guns atm >_<
#36300367649 12/08/2007 23:06:23 Re:Your Favorite PvP class
Still snipers and rifles.

Now that I don't need to dive into the hacker tree for Viral Deflect some dual smg's for interlock work nicely as well. ^_^

MKT all the way.

Sniper and any Hacker tree have been the only thing to ever appeal to me in pvp during CR2, First combat system Martial Arts all the way, Aikido with that 126% Health regen = Love

Rifleman + sniper in CR1 (Find weakness + deadly shot anyone?)

And in CR2...

Rifleman + sniper!
#36300378726 12/30/2007 20:50:23 Re:Your Favorite PvP class
Gunman. For animations, and overall usefulness. In and out of interlock.

Always been my favourite.

I gave Mkt/Assassin a go for over half a year. And it works, its somewhat...easier than most trees, but its fun.

But Gunman ftw.
#36300382103 01/07/2008 03:59:11 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

I have to say Sniper and Duelguns. Sniper with the level 45 silent rifle rocks! Duel guns....just wish we had some more cool guns then we do know. There are no level 50 duel silent guns or rifles, wich is something I would like to see in the near tuture. I really can't see why, the silent guns can't be for level 50??? No logic followes that.

Today, I just see to many MA's and MKT's.

-Mind-

#36300382629 01/07/2008 21:07:18 Re:Your Favorite PvP class
if i'm soloing it was Hax in cs<---- yes S...not R..1 and same for group.

Today with cr2 its sniper/guns if i'm soloing and hax for group

Tho....the most FUN i've had is using sim trees....

Everything but MA. I don't like a class that depends on interlock alone.

Ooh but it's so much fun ruining Sniper's and MKT's days as their plans for your teammate in IL are foiled.  MA's represent the 'front-line' due to it being a purely IL build, and tis enjoyable for that very reason.

Again, due to that fact, your tactics have to be spot-on, allowing for vastly more interesting PvP than Sniper Shot - HJ or Staggering Throw - HJ.

Duelist is fun but i kinda like Rifles/sniper or a subs to get a random FAR to a near gone opponent.
#36300384579 01/11/2008 00:59:29 Re:Your Favorite PvP class
I've recently become very accustomed to MA, which I haven't played in over a year. It's as if the dread that your opponent is feeling when you interlock them is tangible.

He is either referring the Vector, or the few cowardly players left on Syntax. And yes they come from all orgs.

I love ma. It doesn't matter whether i win or lose. I love ma. I use it because thats what keeps drawing me back to mxo. The combat system. Understand with the new upates it gets hard to use but hey, more challenge for me right? I got good VD so I do what i need to do in a team. Tank.

I like most of the offensive hacker trees, like Vector/Skript Kiddie. They require a little bit more thinking than other trees to PVP with.
#36300427156 03/19/2008 05:57:16 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

I like loading Mkt, Master A, and all MA trees at once. Sometimes maybe even UM.

Sploits!!!!!

Yeah I love being a hacker for exactly that reason, but its just more practical to be an MKT for me right now pve wise with so many new players under my wing now. (lets me switch between mkt loads for missions and hacker loads for farming for them)

Ive been toying around with proxy coder recently though lots of fun in that tree but talk about something that needs some reblancing those poor sims  may as well be fighting walls of steal when they go up against pretty much anything under the operative tree. =p

#36300520348 11/15/2008 02:56:00 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

Having tried all the classes now...I find MA the most fun for pvp.

Although, I do like to use hacks, but it just doesn't stand much chance when there are a few snipers around, and it can be oh so fustrating to have every hack deflected by anyone using Aikido. Another point is this new IS regen bug, which is mainly the reason I changed to something other than hacks.

#36300520434 11/15/2008 12:27:16 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

I've been using Hacker and MA a lot for PvP. But however, lately I've been using SMG again.

I have to say I'm enjoying it so much more again.

#36300520469 11/15/2008 16:12:43 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

Guns all the way, always will be due to it's versitlity the only gripe I have about Guns is it does have the lowest accuracy out of all the Tree's. I have no intention of using the others for these reasons

MA - Too reliant on Interlock and no easy way of bringing an opponent into IL unless it's a large PvP situation and they haven't noticed their evade was broken

Spy - Master Assassin doesn't look too bad but when you get the overly large accuracy buff for MKT it just makes the entire tree a large win button for any other build except it's own.

Hacker - Way way way overly reliant on initial attacks, Hacker can be stronger than most builds if you get the first lot of debuffs in, otherwise the worst spy on MxO can beat ya.

my favorite for pvp is definately sniper, because you can pvp by yourself against large groups

but i will stay martial arts SMILEY

I've been inbetween Guns and Hacker lately, only ones I'm good with now. lol

My favorite PvP class is MKT, You can kill off a zerg one by one and pis.s everyone off SMILEY

#36300520806 11/17/2008 03:54:27 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

MA all the way. Gotta love getting someone stated and bam, deaded  Pretty much impossible to use against a zerg. May need to do a bit of pulling etc. No i ain't running from yous...

Mkt seems alright v a zerg but nothing beats sniper. Healer/hackers tend to go down the easiest with just a couple of shots. Others you need to work a wee bit but still easy.

One thing i hate is 'noob' snipers. Doing 1k dmg with the shot then 600 dmg freefire while your MA and interlocked with one of the others in the zerg is annoying lol

One thing i have been seeing a bit more recently is haxs, especially DoT's. Stay away till the fightin happens, jump down, slam on 5 DoTs, jump away...

Serene calm.

#36300520811 11/17/2008 04:50:05 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

Serene Calm is alright but without a hyper supporting it, its pretty useless. 50 IS for like 15 - 20 secs or something, meh i prefer using that 50 for overhead - efk or maki - mgf. Can't kill if you ain't doing dmg.

#36300520832 11/17/2008 06:58:21 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

MKT Assassin hands down. I used to love MA in CR1 but cant stand it any longer. As far as hacking goes it can be fun but nothing beats a stealth class in which you can both freefire damage and do massive amounts of sneak interlock damage.

It gives me 84 viral defense, which is helpful enough! But yeh, the IS cost is huge, and un-justified considering the re-use timer.

#36300520861 11/17/2008 08:40:52 Re:Your Favorite PvP class

Dam that is pretty much an extra hyper (think a hyper is 70 pts.) Gonna need to play about with it again now  IS cost is huge, especially if you've missed state moves and/or high IS normal move. When i activate it, which isn't very often, i tend to block for a couple of rounds to try and gain that bit of IS back.

One thing i'v got a tendancy to do, when theres a zerg on and i'm the only one fightin i'll just dive down, wait to get interlocked and hit serene and block. Quite amuzing seeing all the misses lol but you can still normally get pummeled in seconds.

Priv, i'd say sniper > mkt. Once you've went for your punt or whatever, thats you pretty much stuck. Where as sniper you can jump but keep you're target locked on, E & E, conceal and back to the sniping. As long as you have the acc and dmg, you can take down 1 person at a time standin in a zerg

MA is defo a beast for even numbers or yous having the slight number advantage.

I ain't read through all this but has anyone actually said heal/buffer? lol bloody worst tree in pvp. Can make a good 6 v 6 down to a 3 v 6 cause people get bored

I totally see the logistical advantages of sniper. It just so happens that Im HORRIBLE and I mean utterly HORRIBLE at guns. I have been playing a fairly respectable MKT for years now and its something I have grown used to and dare I say Im fairly good at.

Im curious though how is snipers defense compared to an MKT Assassin setup?

Snipers defense does not match up to that of an mkt.But the mobility of being a sniper is what makes it work. You are free from interlock to retreat and reload at will..It's a major plus if outnumbered.
