Not the best, just which one you enjoy playing as most.

I love Assassin.
#12800000359 10/21/2005 07:12:12 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

Master Knife Thrower i guess as primary, though ive hit MA and Hacker at times

In groups i can do down other trees, ive got Master Assassin coded and leveled but ive not actually tried it yet, will have to check it out :p

#12800000360 10/21/2005 09:48:12 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

lol
#12800000366 10/21/2005 19:37:52 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
When you mean favorite you are talking about looks or effectiveness?

The best looking tree for me is SMG Specialist, but sadly it's useless after supression fire.

The more effective tree on my hands is Master Knife Thrower.
#12800000368 10/21/2005 21:27:24 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
I have to say i like Master Knife Thrower / Assassin build best.  It's what I'm geared for.

But i also like the Kung fu master / Despoiler build too. It's like you have a nice little surprise for anyone who Interlocks you. SMILEY

#12800000371 10/22/2005 04:26:21 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
MKT even though im lvl 42 and havent got staggered throw yet its still get and assasin i love. Also aikido is cool.

I will throw a radish at you!
#12800000373 10/24/2005 05:22:33 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

Full duelist with a few points in gaurdian patcher for combat enhancement 1.0. with the over powered duelist shirt and bedlams my average roll for reteliate is 308. Rarely do i miss with dual pistol dash so as long as I aim for the hackers first my no VD isnt really a problem inless im facing 10 on 1, which is normally the case anyways.
#12800000375 10/24/2005 08:42:07 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

Karate/Kungfu Grandmaster.

I live getting my hands dirty.  :robotvery-happy:

Sometimes, on a less-than-serious night of PvP, I like to get nostalgic and bulldog people too.

#12800000377 10/25/2005 03:14:35 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
I must admit , i coded and leveled Master Assassin, and i do like that tree SMILEY, though its not a great ablity to solo with...
#12800000378 10/25/2005 07:11:19 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
Definetely Would have to Hacker(any combo whatsover) or Sniper/ExpertRIFLE
#12800000379 10/25/2005 10:45:19 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
i looooohuuuuuuve assassin.
before they (nerfed!) fixed that nasty lickle bug where u could
hyperjump while concealed i loved sniper/rifleman. i was looking
forward to going down sniper to concealed and then the rest in
assassin. :robotsad:

i mish with arbalist of course. (OMG HAX)

#12800000380 10/25/2005 12:20:36 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
Assassin is fun.

Run with full VD, Assasin, boom neurodart, evade down, reverse bulldog, roll, then you know whats next.

#12800000382 10/26/2005 06:40:53 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

MKT

...but an occasional AOE debuffer is fun too.

#12800000383 10/26/2005 08:10:57 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
Assassin mixed with karate is my favorite but then again i use alot of mixed trees everyday not just same old same old so i dont know im always making new mixed ones hehe like my ninja loadout great for tricking noobs SMILEY

#12800000503 11/05/2005 04:30:06 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
hmm... When I'm taking the PvP session seriously Force Multiplier /
Corpsman / Guardian Patcher combo: great for spread heals, back up, a
few mediocre buffs here and there, and can rez, plus the very high
rolls makes for good defense and eliminating other patchers. Or
Suicidal MKT, which is simply forgetting viral deflection and just
loading up gunman for the extra RCT. Once upon a time used to do Master
Shadow / Assassin, but once several others begun loading that up and
primarily just using the MS ability to sit on their *CENSORED* in the middle
of battles, I just got disgusted with it altogether and stopped using
it so I wouldn't be equated with those lot.

But, when I feel like joking around, I'll load up any variety of MA
load outs with or without viral deflection, doesn't matter to me at
that point :smileytongue:

Force Multiplier :smileyindifferent:

#12800000510 11/06/2005 20:13:29 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
Don't have full assassin, or MKT so i can't really say much about them. I kinda like an Aikido/VD/hack/ type load i've got goin on. But i also run with partial UGM, Doc, and Karate master, for a cool effect. sweep is a useful tool. Depends on if im with a team or not. Sometimes ill run that with Rez. Thats when im taking PvP seriously. sometimes i just load my partial assassin and some hacker and go punt people for a few laughs. really, depends on who im fighting :p
#12800000515 11/07/2005 13:00:13 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
I'll beat you down with Guardian Patcher! And when I get it, DOCTOR!

#12800000516 11/07/2005 13:32:42 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
LMAO! TIMEMAKER! lol even my lvl 20 can almost stand up to u SMILEY.
#12800000518 11/07/2005 18:37:01 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
Hm, I'm going to have to say Master Knife Thrower.

Pros: Stealth, good offense and defense
Cons: Hard to hit lots of people now because of the Squad Leader's Shirt and DR awareness

#12800000520 11/08/2005 04:46:35 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
I love my super cool gunman/corpsman load out.  I also love Force
Multiplier/Corpsman/Guardian Patcher.  When I'm buffing and
healing I use Trauma Surgeon and Upgrade Master.

I generally stay away from hacks but I do use Destroyer/Howitzer when
I'm getting outnumbered by fools without VD.  Yay bottleneck field!

#12800000521 11/08/2005 11:55:00 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
Currently, I would have to say MKT is my favorite.  What else can kill a hacker in 6 seconds or less?

Silly hackers. :smileyvery-happy:
#12800000565 11/14/2005 09:59:03 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

I'm gonna say MKT as well.  Not much to it when you figure it out, but you sure can steal alot of cqs from teams when you're soloing.

I have to say that Hacker is pretty easy to kill with.  I just feel so dirty when I use it...meh.

#12800000567 11/14/2005 13:07:43 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
The only thing bad with MKT nowadays is, if people are buffed, you won't hit them no matter what, unless you are buffed as well, and then it's still 50/50.

MKT's are really just Anti-Hackers! SMILEY
#12800000568 11/14/2005 14:59:36 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
SMG's are worth ALOT more than just suppression fire.

SMG speciallist with Redux loaded - Kung Fu down to wooden Dummy drill - then the awakened abilities you like and use the Clamors

wear dodge ranged clothes includeing squad leaders shirt.

this lets you be great in both worlds

free fire with Clamors and use suppression fire/covering fire and disarming shot, then when they get rooted

interlock and use misdirect punch- if they get dazed use wooden dummy drill followed by full auto redux - if not speed attack and use overhand smash and covering fire to lower thier CT- unless of course if there a MA then use extreame falling kick to keep them powerless

this is an awsome loadout =D

#12800000570 11/14/2005 17:47:10 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
For how long to you plan to survive with that build? You have no protection against the build that about the 60% of players use; hackers. You'd be lucky if you manage to break their shield.
#12800000574 11/15/2005 08:53:47 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

krytical wrote:

That probably a little low, but yea...being on Vector limits your loadout creativity.

Every now and then I load pure MA in the hopes that I can run into GMs
out there running solo, but that is far, few and in between.

Without VD maxed, you can count on being cooked pretty fast.

meh...thats the way it goes.
#12800000575 11/15/2005 13:06:06 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
Let's hope the combat revamp solves it.
#12800000576 11/16/2005 12:22:43 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

Expert Rifleman, Sniper (with Line Up the Shot), and analyze weaknesses. Keep in mind has NO VD...although it's extremely good if you're solo I usually sneak up behind, then AW + LUtS + FF + Crippling Shot + FF + Deadly Shot + FF = Dead Red, no matter what they have loaded. Usually I can get all those shots in within the 6 seconds of line up the shot too :smileywink:

Recently I started using a delete upgrades 2.0/code shock combo which people have "borrowed" (I appreciate itSMILEY). It's a nice support class and is extremely effective on a FM. It's also great for 1v1's against any class, especially if they don't have VD. You can have max VT and max VD, along with sweeps and minor buffs as well.

#12800000588 11/18/2005 00:57:42 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

if you utilize anti-5's and keep the hackers interlocked its no big deal

granted im not on vector where everyone is a hacker but  there are a large amount of them here and i just root them and then interlock and they have no choice but to die.  even buffed  i can still beat them useing blinding and CT debuffs in CC

i rarly die unless im outnumbered 3 to 1 or someone is buffed to a 320 avg roll

oh and i can break their sheild 1st try every time from the KF abs

destroyer/howitzer.

fumble field, bottle neck, despoiler, and devastation field.

sure, its unpopular. but i can identify with that.

#12800000590 11/18/2005 18:54:47 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

At the moment, Aikido Grandmaster.
#12800000594 11/20/2005 11:44:26 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
I've just started to PvP regularly, and I use Master Assassin and
Aikido Grandmaster... I hate hackers, so you can count on me never
being one. :smileytongue:

#12800000595 11/21/2005 02:38:36 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

My personal hacker build, or my MKT build are my usual ones but I've got bored of them so when I like to live dangerously I use Rifleman/Duellist which is hilarious in duels
#12800000598 11/22/2005 04:10:01 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

I mainly use Master Assassin with Master Knife Thrower or Duelist with Kung Fu up to Extreme Falling Kick.  Really good if you ask me.

Ballista...MKT and UM

but i love ballista ^^
#12800000715 01/03/2006 10:57:30 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
haha...assassin most of the time.

I think I'm one of the only people I know that PvP's with ONLY Master Shadow loaded up too.

And I don't mean I just flag up and sit down next to Mara HL waiting for people to bounce off my perma-evade shield.  I actually fight with it...lol.  Hey, 400 damage isn't a lot, but it's funny watching people try to find where it came from (provided my invisi holds).

I enjoy tweaking hybreds usually involving a Simulcrum I enjoy the challenge though Im best as hacker statwise

freejack2600 Armistice Exile Syntax

The spirit of a warrior in not geared to indulging and complaining, nor is it geared to winning or loosing.
The spirit of a warrior is geared only to struggle, and every struggle is a warrior's last battle on earth.
Thus the outcome matters very little. In his last battle the warrior lets his spirit flow free and clear. And as he wages his battle, knowing that his will is impeccable, a warrior laughs and laughs.

With CR2.0, my favorite type of profession to use is Gunman, either with Rifleman or Duelist.

#12800000986 06/08/2006 12:21:09 Re: Your Favorite PvP class

Pure aikido GM.

Im getting the hang of it and love it.

Only prob is the overpowerd trees ( not as overpowerd as hacker in cr1.0 but still).
#12800000990 06/13/2006 23:13:51 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
Dang, this is an OLD thread.

Nowadays.. I tend to load Duelist.. with other stuff.  About the only loadout I can seem to do any good with when I'm by myself and I have to be ready for anything.  Gotta love being able to hold your own against interlock AND ranged attackers.
#12800000993 06/15/2006 17:59:33 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
I've changed my mind, Awakened.
#12800000994 06/16/2006 14:18:22 Re: Your Favorite PvP class
In CR1 I was very big on MA, I used to run around at level 42 and own noob level 50 MAs (Bay's nasty combo ftw).. I never actually coded Aikido GM for CR1 though, which used to be the cornerstone of my favorite build.

When CR2 came out, I was quite annoyed with what had been done concerning archetype attribute points - perception was no longer useful for me. So, given that everyone I saw was MA or Duelist, Oranos and I went Hacker. It was quite fun - I'll be the first to admit that it was overpowered at the time, but compounded with the fact that people weren't loading viral resistance because they saw hacker as dead, I was able to rack up hundreds of CQ per day using AOE. After Hacker's subsequent meganerf, which rendered the Network Attacker tree rather worthless, Howitzer ineffective, and Ballista cumbersome to use, I statted to MA for a brief period... but MA in this system just doesn't seem to have much in combat with the old system. Sure the abilities are the same, but the feel is gone.

I just recently went gunman, and I'm playing with some tricky little hybrid loadouts; I'm quite enjoying myself.

I find that one of the best ways to keep this game from getting old is to restat and completely change builds once in a while - it really makes combat seem fresh and new again.
