**bleep** that is horrible. I know a few people who lost characters in the switch over or just plain lost them and none of them ever got their character back and each one had to start over from scratch. As you read you created your new character with the same name so that would have definitely deleted your old character/overwritten it so the mistake was unfortunetly yours on that move and now have no choice but to start over. However, Mxo did erase loose my history on 6 hour day and as put things into my briefcase the my abilities started disappearing. In the end I lost a few abilities and 6 hours of info from farming. What I did do is put a ticket in and asked them to reimburse me for the lost money including the lost money for buying new abilities and leveling them. MXO checked and found out and repaid me my lost money. I am sure if you ask them nice they will give you some money back to amend for this error. That is all you will get though you will have to make all your abilities again. I wish you luck.
