okay, after a reboot the game now launched but all the graphics were completely messed up and I saw weird shapes. I am kind of wondering if it is my Radeon. I will post here if it was, I am gonna go reinstall my drivers for my video card and hopefully have some success with that.

I've seen a number of things cause this bug, but the main culprits are:

1.) Corrupt Graphics Drivers

2.) Corrupt Game Files

To remedy the first, reinstall your graphics drivers.  To rememdy the second, enable the "Full Scan" option on your launcher to redownload any corrupt files from the patch server again.

My graphics used to mess up on SWG. It was a corrupt graphics card driver.

What graphics card are you using, and what version of the drivers? This is usually caused by an outdated or corrupt graphics driver, as was previously stated. If you already know what version fo the Catalyst drivers to install, I recommend downloading the Catalyst Uninstaller (available on the same page as the driver download) at the same time. Run the uninstaller and reboot before installing the new drivers.

I agree with this, except that instead of reinstalling your graphics drivers your should update them.
First replace your video drivers then run full check. Most porblems of this nature with MxO are video driver related, as it pushes your card much harder than most games by using most of the features, and if there is even a small driver error it will die.

Also, like the TSR says... Post your video card details

Sry about not getting a response back but unfortenantly I do not get emails when someone responds to a thread for some reason.

My vid card is the Radeon 9550 and after getting the problem I did update to the latest drivers available from ATI. I did not take the approach suggested though, so I will try that and see what happens.

Thanks again for the help.

I have had these problems for the past week, I've got DELL, SoE and ATI working on this problem, i have a corrupt driver issue. All the advice I have had so far hasnt helped, basically, I have been told many things but the main thing we are after is a VGA controller restetter. From there you can setup the basic ati catalyst controller (Display driver update). and everything *fingers crossed* should be sorted.

the only BUT and it is a HUGE BUT, there is not VGA driver tool/ VGA controller download I can find..

Any tips for this?? If you beat ATI, SoE and DELL I will /kissass when I can jack back in!

They may be talking about a VIA all-in-one driver which includea the GART driver. however, without your system specs, we can't verify you even have a board based on a VIA chipset.

The VIA chipset software is here (but ONLY get this if your KNOW you have a VIA chipset):

i'm also haveing the same problem with the client.dll.  How can i update a driver from a discontinued PNY VERTO GeFORCE FX 5200? or should i just reinstall it form my driver's CD?

#12400008652 02/13/2006 14:20:47 Re: getting a dll error when launching mxo for regular servers
The GeForce 5200 card can be updated with the regular Forceware drivers offered by nVidia. Just download the most recent ones. However, if you run into problems, use Add/Remove programs to uninstall those drivers, and then get the 71.89 drivers from the Driver Archive.

To the OP, post your MSINFO and DXDIAG, or your specific motherboard model (or computer model if it was pre-built) so we can try to find this for you.
