just bought the game and trying to login in to patch up and everything- station account is registered and valid.
The launcher was being patched but after I enter my login details I am stuck with 'authenticating'
Any solution to this problem?

I need to make a checklist that people can go through to see if it works....

These 2 ports are required for the auth and patch servers. The launcher will not work propely without them.Message Edited by phi on 01-18-200608:09 AM

I am surprised to see the port 7030 in there-- that is within the port range that the Launchpad (used for all of our other games) uses to connect to the login server. however, we were never made aware that the Launcher for MxO had been updated with this. We believed a DNS redirect was taking place (which would explain UNEXPECTED_AUTH_MESSAGE errors if the Launcher was receiving data from our servers, but had not yet been updated with the new launcher code to support it). I will be getting in touch with someone on the MxO team about this when I have a chance to clarify exactly what is ocurring.

As an update, I wanted to let you know that I did get your network troubleshooting e-mails. There is a curiosity that both of your trace results share across all of your traces:

This is exactly the same for the both of you. This indicates a problem with the ISP's Tier 2 provider and their connection to AT&T's backbone. It also brings to mind a possible satellite conenction over the pond, instead of the fiber cables run on the ocean floor. If either of you could conenct to another ISP (at a friends house with a different high-speed provider (who can connect to MxO ideally)) would really help narrow this down. If eiither of you could try it, and let me know, I'd appreciate it.
I am also trying some reverse-traces to the two of you, as well as other addresses owned by T-Online, and I'll be comparing the traces for similar problems. Expect an e-mail from me end-of-shift tomorrow.

Hello,
Did you find a solution yet?
I have exactly the same problem here with the launcher freezing at authenticating and so on.
So if you know how to fix it,please let me know
Thx alot
Volker
