Hello,

I just got back to mxo, I have been away for about 2-3months maybe alittle longer. I got a lvl 17 Gunmen class charactor. At the moment am having a bit of a problem leveling him. I stopped right after getting this Gunmen class rank 3 months or so ago.

It seemed easier leveling before I could dual-wield, It seems that I get hurt more and get close to dying  in each battle (so far).

Maybe there is some other class I need to combind with the gunmen class, that will make it easier for me to run missions? Am hoping I didnt make a bad choice in picking the gunmen route.

Here is a list of what am using for gear at the moment:

---------------

White Sector Sunglasses

Ghost shirt - [25% chance(healing(10-40)]

Twin Fm-70 Magnums - 75-115 damage - [Upgrades ranged Combat tactics (5pts)]

Enhanced Flat cap- [Max health 100]

Loripor's jacket - [Max health 25pts]

Sheilded dim brown plain slacks - [ viral resistance (2%)

Enchanced Avero Patterned ancle boots - [ invisbility duration (10%) upgrade crafting (5pts)

Enchanced Steen Threaders gloves - [Upgrades: durations (2%) healing (1pts) combat evasion (1%) aikido damage (2pts)

---------------

Any help would be wonderful.

This is coming from a gunman....

I use gunman with a fighting style.  That way if you get disarmed
you can stll do damage in close combat.  Most gunmen use
karate.  Sidekick combo has some of the highest rolls out of
MA.  Go for dual pistols. most of the attacks are good in and out
of interlock. (and at level 46 you get dual pistol execution... giggidy
giggidy oh right SMILEY

At level 20 you can use a +9 ranged combat tactics shirt and a +9
melee combat tactics shirt.  They are the best clothes in the game
until level 40, where you can use the Troll's Hide shirt (+9 all
attributes)

I hope that helps.

Use a shirt with RCT.

I feel bad for those fellas who use ranged builds with trolls hide.

At what lvl should I pick up karate? I don't have enough memory right now to do so. As of right now, I have problems even finishing a mission.

I got around 2mil for info, so I dont have a whole lot to spend, but if you guys can point me to the right path for my skills that would be great. All I want to do is be strong enough to run missions and get my charactor lvled.

well it looks like yr all set
for abilities. in terms of clothing look for gear that will help yr RCT
- these will be shirts, and possibly dodged ranged, combat evasion and
ranged damage. look for steady/solid sneakers on the market, they help
ranged damage and combat evasion. apart from that, it should just be
tactics u need to worry about. try to engage mission mobs one at a
time. as a gunman that means shooting from doorways to get one of the
mobs to run into yr room, away from his buddies. before u engage in
interlock (my sense is that gunslingers do most of their fighting that
way) use covering fire to drop their CT - this will help u beat their
rolls. i don't recall offhand but i think it also has a chance at
rooting. i notice u didn't list detect weakness in yr awakened
abilities - try getting that and loading it, it will help u in
interlock - below the mob name u will occasionally see a blue/red/green
box flash, this is yr enemy's weak point at that moment, use that
attack and u will have a greater chance at beating their roll.

if worse comes to worse, shooting from the elevator is a cheap trick
but an effective one. attract a mob's attention then run back to the
elevator and blast away. some mobs won't follow u, in which case shoot
them from the doorway. when u shoot from the doorway try to work the
angle in such a way that only the mob yr attacking sees u.

i'm not sure if at 17 it works but try chaining yr freefire attacks
together so yr always attacking - ie shoot... covering fire... shoot...
disarming shot... shoot. u will probably only have enough IS to take
out one mob this way but if each shot hits it should kill at the least
a single chevron orange con before u have to run back to the elevator.

getting awakened ability concentration might also be helpful for u -
lvl it up and it will minimize the chance that taking damage in
freefire disrupts gunman attacks.

also, just in case u aren't, be sure to be using dual handguns if u are
going gunslinger. u should have found enhanced ones by now just from
random mission drops - best enhanced ones are ones that have a chance
at a state or randomly occurring extra damage.
