Is it worth to kill the archive boss?

Recently, I reached level 25 and I'm considering to kill the Yuki boss before I level up. However, soloing him is pretty pointless, and searching for a team with enough players, all at the right levels and with the right load-outs, isn't what I would call easy, even not in a faction.

Now, my question is: What exactly does he drops, and is it worth the time at all?

'Cause the last thing I'like to do is staying at level 25 for an eternity, doing nothing but collecting teams, and then leave with a few lame items I can get anywhere in the else in the city SMILEY

Does anyone have hints for me?

He drops a 25vd (among other stats) bandana.

I wouldn't waste your time trying to get it as Sakura has a 50vd bandana and asepticaps give up 37vd now.

*vd= viral deflection

Just try to find some Hackers. a level 20 could hit him but he needs a martial artists to finish it.  They updated tengu to restart if a hacker abuses it or something. so the hacker has to powerless it so the martial artist can kill it.

Yeah, but the Asepticap doesn't give you ranged/melee damage resistance and 15 (out of the 17 for buffs) levels of Focus, plus the Sakura looks cool. :robottongue:

It's funny, the glasses and mask I wear in-game could probably make me 200 million alone. lol

Whats your server and organization?

I've been looking to form a Yuki group for ages, I'm a Merovingian on Syntax; Spy and Gunman.

I'm Merovingian at Syntax, too. My handle is Amador5069 and the level is 23. MA, Infiltrator and Proxy Coder.

Two syntax mervs then. Lets see if we can get a team together.

Best team is 2 MA's an Arbalists and a
Rezzer/Buffer. The MA's need to keep him interlocked while the Hacker
trashes him. While the Rezzer buffs, heals and ..... emm Rez's.

Thats how I always
did it untill I turned 26. Never got anything worth while after a few 2hr
stints in there though :smileysad:

Ok, it's worth it. Here are the stats,

Focus (10 Levels)
Melee Physical Damage Resistance (6%)
Ranged Physical Damage Resistance (6%)
Viral Deflection (25pts)
Min character level at 30

had one, i liked it better than the Sakura because it's more rare to be seen around the Mega City.

Get 2 hackers in there, One is on the track to Arbalest the other needs to have area disruption. Get the guy with area disruption to hack tengu as you load up logic cannon 1.0. Use every debuff and logic attack you can. Eventually he'll drop the bandana/mask.

The drops can be worth it; the question is how much time are you gonna spend trying to get it, lol?

I have on several occasions went with teams to take out the bosses of Yuki and later Ashencourt Archives, and it's pretty annoying on those days when the boss just won't drop the signature item you are looking for.

Since the difficulty on these guys have been jacked way up, our groups fought a long time and defeated the  bosses mulitple times, and often all the drop would be is something wimpy like a Coder Object.

So in short, the drops are worth it, but if you're on those unlucky days when it won't give up what you need, it's a lot of wasted time.

I say go for it while you have the chance.  I have a Yuki bandanna that I still use because it's next to impossible to get the Sakura bandanna these days.  Best case scenario, you get the Yuki bandanna, and then by some stroke of miracle get the Sakura bandanna, then you can sell the Yuki for a pretty penny.
#11700000222 12/26/2005 00:21:26 Re: Is it worth to kill the archive boss?
Does the bandanna have strong buffs, or does it just look cool?
#11700000223 12/26/2005 00:27:09 Re: Is it worth to kill the archive boss?
It looks just like a regular black bandanna.  However, it gives you 10 levels of Focus, and 25pts. of Viral Deflection.  So yeah, the buffs are great, especially if you're level 25.
#11700000244 01/03/2006 11:10:14 Re: Is it worth to kill the archive boss?
They are almost always worth it. I've heard though that the drops from the Taskmaster in One Zero is not that great of a gun (but its looks awesome!) They are hard to get though. I need at LEAST two other people to help me take down Tengu in Sakura. I haven't gotten a Bandana yet but I am still trying. The only problem is getting enough other people to stay in there long enough with you to get it. And also getting it in enough kills where you don't outlevel the construct and then not able to come back. Also I have been running into a problem of other orgs there and then you PvP for looting rights. But I think that part is fun and what the constructs were designed for. SMILEY

Ok, just found one thing. At least in Ashencourte, three MAs interlocking Gargoyle at the same time can defeat him easily. I suppose it's the same for all the others.

Now about the items, can anybody tell me the list of all boss drops or where such a list is?

thanks

Here is some more info on the Constructs / Archives.  My info on the drops
could be old.  Remember that even if you level above the construct then
you can stay in there and keep killing, but you also become a target for other
