I think when your working for a neighbourhood contact their gang should not attack you (common sense really) but no they do. They even kill people your escorting for them. I've been stuck on Amber's third mission for so long because her gang keep killing the bluepill I'm escorting for her. This is ridiculous and something needs to be done. Maybe when you start a mission for a contact they give you an ID card so their gang won't attack you and you lose it once the mission is over so it will only be in affect during the contact's missions.

lol i remember that mission. ya that was v. annoying!
the trick is to plot out the route u will take, leave the bluepill safe
in doors, then kill all the ASPs along the path taking care not to loot
the bodies. then go back and escort the bluepill.

also dont forget where you leave the blue pill

forgot they people u escort cant jump...then i spent like half an hour
trying to find the guy...i eventually gave up and quit the mission

When doing missions like this I also suggest leaving the blue behind in a safe building. If you are having trouble remembering where they are (like I do) you can place a flag on the building where they are by right clicking on the map. You can then just delete the flag when you go back to pick them up.
Or you can walk the long way around and avoid all conflict.
FYI, the neighborhood mission contacts are not always in charge of the
local mob gang. Each gang has their own unique boss that you can kill,
and only a few of the mission contacts are directly related to a gang
(like Amber and the A.S.P.).

Yea... but with the Mr Black, Dame White, and especially their 'children' such as Greene + Amber, I tought they had control over the gangs (or some of them)?
None of the Neighborhood Contacts control the gangs in their area
to not kill your escorts. This applies even if you are doing a mission
for that contact. They do control the gang members in the mission
areas.

i think the OP knows this gameplay-wise, they're just saying it makes no sense, story-wise.
