Thanks to all our rumbles with RIP, Furious Angels and Digital Army during Beta in 01, we did really well. We united with our fellow machinsts and we dominated Mara. Eventually others in the other orgs reached 50 and strategies formed. We fell to Zion and the Mervs. The cycle began.

There were a few nights when we would flag up and stand on the bridge. Sneaker was famous for declaring the area under machinist protection and any hostilities would be dealt with.

Good times.

I refuse to concede that we fell to Zion or the Mervs. More like we fell to WoW and sheer boredom of the game, with most of our PvPers leaving and us rebuilding. We never retreat, we just advance in a different direction. However the TC zerg is back. Yep when 8 TC people start PvPing Zion calls us a Zerg. LOL!

Actually, on Method the machs had a pretty good alliance with mervs until the server migration, then everything went to hell because Recursion is...well, it's Recursion.

and why half of the combat balancing occured, why the aggro was changed
etc.

Just imagine an entire floor of Creston NPCs all in the boss room,
every night, 4-6 hours a night for like 4 weeks straight.

we didn't die. (well rarely at least - i died more because I was in my 30s at the time lol)

that was one of the greatest times of my video game career. being in midian park with the hordes of reds trying to interlock me and via sheer levels i was untouchable. i had that screenshot with the people screaming "KILL UPSTREAM" as my desktop for long. then going up to the mara church roof where it was nothing but TC on the roof and (quite literally) hundreds of reds down below. they never moved as one, so they couldnt dislodge us from the position. PVP in retail was never quite as good as it was that first day.

You said it man <Balance> was the whole reason so many nerfs happened in the first month of launch. Dagyo took this game and ripped it apart. I remember just tryin to keep up with dagyo when he ran the speed missions u could barely get into the mission area before he was at the door. Me and spiritreaver got Neu to 50 in creston the day before the npc aggro nerf. and dont forget DAGYO's map 4.0 ( I still use it to this day ) and the days endless and VoZ joined the merv force it was <balance> that made there first merv crews for them.

Im sitting at 116 /play days and i dont think i have had as much fun as i did those first 4 weeks.
*sigh* :smileysad: the good ole days.

oh ya i still have batteries not included reserved on one of my alts if u ever feel like bringing it back to life:smileywink:.
