We have a ton of awesome players!

But exactly how many, we're not allowed to say. It is SOE policy not to divulge subscriber numbers.

Is there any specific reason vector is given slightly less interaction than the non hostile servers? I know it’s a pvp server but there is still a pretty descent sized RP community that kind of feels left out compared to recursion and syntax.

Vector's PVP nature complicates Live Event plans a bit, but we certainly don't intend to give it less attention than the other servers.

While we no longer have the staff to run every event on every server, this carries the side benefit of allowing us to tailor each event to the strengths of the server on which it appears. So Vector will sometimes be getting different types of events than you'll see on the other servers.

How has events changed since SOE took over in terms of the rewriting of the storyline with Paul Chadwick approach...

Well, Paul's always been our storyline writer, so there hasn't been any change there.

The main difference is that we no longer have a Live Events Team, so we're limited in the number and scope of story character live events we can run. We're working on ways to make these more effective, and to have them tie them in directly with Paul's story--and in that respect I think there's room for us to improve on what the old LET was doing, as they were less familiar with the main storyline than our remaining designers are.

We're also working on coordinating with a group of players, LESIG, to get players directly involved in bringing the storyline to the community, both by allowing them to assist story characters in Live Events, and by helping them organize their own player-run events.

btw...it makes it really hard to manage a faction knowing that people are listening into your conversations all the time. Really the faction leader should be able to know how many people are actually in their faction...

but even if you could know who's in your faction doesn't restrict people from joining as a spy...if they are a good spy...

I don't think so, although I remember watching some of the other members of the team working on them.

But I was one of the remote demo-ers for our last E3 appearance, involved in those big PVP brawls around Mara Central. I even had some kind of studly name...uh...I think maybe I was "Apollo"? Something like that, anyway. It wasn't really as fun once they told us to stop pwning the less experienced team members, though. =p

I don't know, but you can bet that we'll try to come up with something, because we want to give you lots of goodies, and it sucks if you don't have anywhere to keep them.

for some reason i completely dint notice i had a question in the first

#10400134749 12/22/2005 16:54 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question
going on the night theme,
would it be possible for the matrix to work like the real world?
i.e.
slowly gets lighter then darker (and the darker would be halloween nightness)?

2 player dance emotes, what do you think of the idea?

Alll right I'll skip to yours. :p

It's not a bad idea, certainly, although I'm not sure we have any looping two-player emotes right now (do we? I'm not really up on my two-player emotes, what with playing solo most of the time *sniff*), so there may be some technical issues involved in doing that.

It would also probably take a lot more time to animate than most regular emotes.

Ages ago, one person suggested that two player dance emotes could work with a modified Interlock system.  I thought that was an interesting suggestion.

I
DOUBT someone would buy something for a few millions (dunno how much the
game cost for SOE), just to dump it in the near future. So i guess SOE
have plans for it, or else they wouldn't have bought it.

There was a special Morpheus mission that was available for a limited time the day before Morpheus was killed.  Completing it rewarded players with a tool that, when used (or recycled, as I found out), filled up one "bubble" in your experience points gauge.

Players also got to escort a few level 255 Agents at one point.  Anything that got in their way was slaughtered.  It was very fun. ^-^

Are there any plans to add alot of the type of fighting moves and techniques to this game, that were seen in Path of Neo?  That is one heck of a game.  And the content in there in terms of fighting was amazing.  In my opinion, I think the fighting moves/techniques/styles that were used in Path of Neo should be implemented.  I know some thing only Neo could do, but what about all the different fighting styles?  The animations for them and such?  Especially the multi fighting.  To the guys behind CR2.0, please, borrow a page or 2 from The Path of Neo.

Never suggest the devs steal stuff from a title by a different set of people.  Madness. 1* for you.

It was an entirely different genre/style/concept of gaming goodness.  Like sex is good, but so is chocolate.  Taking bits of one into the other is just errrr.... bad example.... blap.

My bad, Ntrails, being a new poster and all, I didnt know how that
worked.  I apologize for making that suggestion, I just figured
that being that they were both in the same vein it was ok.

Ok, Another question for the devs.  In terms of the lack of
content that people complain about for this game, is there a
timeline/expected date on when you all plan to have/want to have
everything implemented and finalized?  From the CR2.0, to the
Marketplace, to the Slums and all?

What is the best way (like post on forums, RP alot, Do different missions like recuitment and currier, solve puzzles) to get interaction through dialog with matrix characters, being aproached by matrix characters, and being chosen for special storylines?
