As you know, the Cypherites will not be playable as an Organization. However, we have worked out a way by which factions can obtain public recognition of their allegiance to the Cypherite cause.
Read Cryptos' post carefully, and follow the appropriate link to his follow-up post on your own server's board. Here you will find a cryptic message, and the name of Cryptos' liaison officer on your server.
Those sending the correct solution to Cryptos' riddle to their server's Cypherite liaison will be able to meet with the liaison and apply for membership in the Cypherite group. The liaison may have an additional puzzle or challenge for you to fulfill before you are approved.
A Machine-aligned faction applying in this way to the liaison may ask for a special Cypherite tag to be added to their faction name. Once the liaison has approved your faction for membership, they will send the name of your faction leader, or selected representative, to SOE Customer Support.
<strong>Please note that your faction must be Machine-aligned, and must wait for the Cypherite liaison on your server to contact Customer Service on your behalf. Customer Service will ignore requests for faction tags that do not come from the liaison.</strong>
After the liaison contacts Customer Support with your faction's name tag request, a Customer Support technician will locate your faction's representative in-game, and arrange a time for the tag to be added to the faction name. Changing the tag requires that all members of the faction are logged out of the game at a certain time. If the tag attempt fails because someone in the faction was not logged out, you will have to arrange for another attempt with Customer Support. It may take up to a week to be contacted by Customer Support, as they have kindly volunteered to do this service for us on top of the vital duties they perform in keeping the servers a safe place to play.
Once the tag is successful, the name and faction name above your character's head will look something like this:
<div align="center">
<strong><span style="color: #44e2e1">Charactername - Machines
<My_Faction -</span> <span style="color: #0000ff">CYPH</span><span style="color: #44e2e1">></span></strong>
</div>
If you want to have the tag removed, you will have to go through the same time-consuming process of contacting the liaison, who will Contact Customer service, and arrange a time, etc. So please keep in mind that what is done, is not easily undone, and you should not request this tag lightly.
We know that many of you were hoping to have Cypherites as their own Organization. We know that this faction name tag is not quite as cool as that would have been. However, we hope that it will still be a valuable tool for those of you wishing to be known publicly as a Cypherite faction.
Please note that this tag only applies to factions; tags will not be added to individual or crew names. Those wishing to participate in the Cypherite group in a less public manner are still encouraged to contact your server's Cypherite liaison and see what sort of secretive activities or functions may be available.
Look for a similar service to be offered for E Pluribus Neo in the near future. Just as a head's up: just as the Cypherite tag is only available for Machine-aligned factions, the E Pluribus Neo faction tag will be available only for Zion-aligned factions. This restriction is for storyline and PVP reasons. Thank you for your patience, and good luck to those wishing to join these groups!
EDIT: Your faction will be able to see your new tag when you log in after the change has been made successfully. Other players will not be able to see it until the servers are restarted.

EDIT #2: There is a limit of 41 characters, visible or invisible, on faction names. The blue CYPH tag adds 21 characters, since it includes two spaces, a dash, and 14 invisible color coding characters. Therefore, any faction with a name longer than 20 characters will need to come up with a shorter version of their name when asking for a tag.
