The Matrix Online Launcher stalls here for me, not logging on the server. Had this issue for 3 hours now.

#36300564259 06/04/2009 18:18:05 Re:Authenticating...

I have had this Issue for more than a day and it's pissing me off. I didn't just re-sub I have always been subed.

Emptiness is form.

Yea, I tried restarting my computer, closing Firefox, and Resetting the wireless router.  Nothing's doing.

Considering the fact that this is not a (Just today issue for me) and Considering the fact that I have never un-sub and still nothing yes. I got your PM's and all that you have suggested I have done before today.

I get that you don't understand why my problem is. However You don't know all that I have done leading up today and still nothing especially nothing useful from SoE.

Okay, try starting the launcher and clicking "Patch: Full System Scan" Then hit accept. If that does not work, click accept, then type in your username and password. And before you click accept, click the Patch: Full System Scan, then hit accept. It should verify all your files. It may take a bit.

If this doesn't work, we'll go from there.

I have adjusted MxO on my permissions list / firewall. turned off my firewall.  I have gone as far as to uninstall reinstall. I have even completely removed all MxO folders whiped from my computer, then reinstalled. I have downloaded the station launcher as suggested and guided through by the CSR. All of that along with other things I listed in my first response and nothing.

It will not Authenticate, but no error message, nothing. When I close the MxO launch pad and try to get back in game, what happens is that I will get a message that says that "there can be only one instance of the Matrix running". I then have to hit ALT CTRL Delete and manually tell the "MxOexe" to end it's process then I can try again which ends in the same issue. Or Just restart my computer. No matter what happens. No error message. No getting past the Authentication.

I have done the router reconnect as instructed by CSR's I have also done the"Patch: Full System Scan" and hit accept. I have typed in my username and password. And before I clicked accept, I clicked the Patch: Full System Scan, then hit accept. It should verify all your files. Yes, it does take a bit just a little over an hour for me (Done this all of this 3 times)

I get that you're trying to help, thank you. I have done all the above already more than once and it will tell me Authenticating, but as I have said both in these forums and to Virrago. No error message, no getting to the next phase of the loggin.

#36300564365 06/04/2009 20:47:32 Re:Authenticating...

I'm stuck on auth, always been subbed.

Now we pre-May 27th players get our turn of Fail, yay!

Please fix.  /sigh

#36300564367 06/04/2009 20:55:46 Re:Authenticating...

I can get in most of the time, but i will get the "account already in use" message here and there.  I still get stuck at Authenticating screen sometimes.

#36300564382 06/04/2009 21:44:59 Re:Authenticating...

Yes i have this issue too, but only sometimes.

Try the following thing when you get the error : Restart the launcher and try again.

It seems that the auth server (not the launchpad server)sometimes doesnt answer the 0x55 Request (only with an ACK and not with data).

#36300564388 06/04/2009 22:07:21 Re:Authenticating...

I've got the issue as well.

me too

#36300564409 06/04/2009 23:53:52 Re:Authenticating...

I was able to log on earlier tonight, but now I can not get in, either, and I have been always subbed..

On a side note, mid-level characters still seem to be bugged, but not lowbies or 50s...

#36300564411 06/05/2009 00:20:55 Re:Authenticating...

I've had this issue since Update 66. I don't think this has anything to do with SOE's recent mistakes. The solution is always one of the following:

-Close your browser if you have one open.

Why this works, I have no idea. There shouldn't really be any issue with a browser open but I'm not gonna complain if it works.

-If it doesn't work the first time, you must open Task Manager and manually close the process.

For some reason, matrix.exe doesn't always close when you shut down the launcher. If you try again, and it doesn't work keep shutting down the failed attempts.

-Use Station Launcher

Station Launcher usually has a higher chance of authenticating for me. Probably something to do with the fact that you're already partially logged in.

Woot I finally can post again! I was having the authentication error, then I closed Firefox just to see if it would work, logged into MxO launcher and it got me in. Then once I went back to DN1 I found I was jacked out again and couldn't post.   Good times.

Checking now... i'm back at authenticating. I'm sure using those fixes will eventually work though.

#36300564454 06/05/2009 03:16:21 Re:Authenticating...

Closing Firefox worked for me too. I thought SOE couldn't stoop any lower, but they prove me wrong by secretly plotting with Microsoft to kill Firefox. SMILEY

#36300564466 06/05/2009 04:22:32 Re:Authenticating...

If you're having trouble try a Full System Check on the launcher, that fixed it for me.

#36300564473 06/05/2009 05:27:31 Re:Authenticating...

Got one lockup this morning but closed launcher and restarted it and it let me in.

#36300564479 06/05/2009 06:18:48 Re:Authenticating...

So here's my issue: my MxO launcher client isn't updated to the latest patch, but it won't download anything for updating, either. I tried turning off Firefox and retrying with Full System Check on, and it seems to be aware that it needs to update, but nothing.

I downloaded the Station Launcher to see if the issue was with the launcher only, but the Launcher seems to think that MxO doesn't exist.

Fun stuff.

Get someone to send you their game files. I'd do it for you, but I'm at work.

#36300564486 06/05/2009 06:45:28 Re:Authenticating...

Eh, I'm just downloading MxO from the Launcher now, to see if that works.

#36300564489 06/05/2009 07:00:55 Re:Authenticating...

I still cannot get in. This bs had been going on for a few days now. I have done everything that is listed and then some. Seeing as I have always been sub'ed and didn't re-sub, if this is how SoE is going to do things especially when I have been paying for this game and 2 of their other games for how many years now. They even need to get me in game or give me my money back period.

If I am paying for something without fail then I should have access to it whenever. Charging me for 3 games but only letting me access 2 makes sense how? SoE where the hell is my money if your not going to live up to your end of the deal here?  I am not paying you people to not have access to 1 of the games I pay for.

Once again deleting my commnets will not make me go away nor will PM's asking me what all I've done only to stop talking when My list of things I have done Including CSR assistance surpass your ability to furhter run me around, as well as shut me up.

I should not have to deal that or this nonsense. You people either fix my account that I didn't re-sub to so that I can have access to MxO like those who you've screwed over on the re-sub nonsense then let in, or give me my money back.

Enough with the childish games and poor business tactics.

#36300564527 06/05/2009 10:13:38 Re:Authenticating...

Ok.. I was able to get in.. Why this worked for me, I don't know:

1. Close all web browsers

2. Open the MXO launcher. Click full system check and then Accept without entering account information . It will say it needs to restart. Let it do so, then click full system check again. Repeat this cycle no less then five times.

Why it took five times for it to work, I don't know. I replicated this several times over, and it worked for me each time. If I did it less then five times,  the authentication did not go through. I did not have to do an actual full system check.
