The Official E3 News Thread june 1st-4th

Welll E3 is almost here alot of stuff is being planed right now Rumors of big games possibly a new MGS game to Halo  and even Zelda.  Unfortuenly for Sony one of there big things suposivly has been leaked and confirmed by the qore subscription a early copy has got out and Sony has a new PSP coming out sporting a 16 gig hard drive bluetooth  wifi a aditional memery card slot and no umd slot. It will be intirelly Digital Content and games should be relased the same day as the hard copys will if its multi platform. Even biger news though is the episode also said a new mgs will be coming out for the psp and ps3, other games include a new ratchet and clank and little big planet.

and according to the uk home managers Home will also Stream sonys keynote through the podium space area and content will be added daily to the psn store throughout the week starting monday.

yeah the only thing that im considering geting it for is it will probally have wirless G or N support wich is a big step up from the current psp only having Wirless b suport and the battery support wich im sure will be a big improvement with out the umd if it can get 10-12 hrs thats a sale for me.

Left 4 Dead 2 announcement makes me a sad camper.

Left 4 Dead 1 has been out all of eight months. I hope that by "sequel" they mean to the Xbox version and expansion onto PC.

I just got done watching the microsoft conference. It was pretty impressive. I did enjoy the appearance of Felicia Day.

also that Milo thing that uses Natal is a fair bit creepy

im anxisouly wating for sonys today i have heard some more rumors from a few other sites and hoping sony dropb out some big games.

Big Stuff from home

i wanna see some new stuff from Heavy Rain FF XIII VS little big planet psp and would like to see a new Firmware update

as much as I belive in the ps3's capability, I think its going to be pretty hard to beat Microsoft's show this year. They didnt fugg around this time.

I have a bad feeling that the PSP GO is gonna be thier "big thing" and if thats true then thats very very bad. Sony needs to wow us with some great PS3 titles. What really sux is 3 of the biggest games, Modern Warfare 2, Final Fantasy XIII and Beatles Rockband will most likely not be in Sony's show since they were in Microsoft's, even tho they will be on both platforms =(

So far all I can think of is Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain to upsell the PS3 and Heavy Rain to me looks like it could turn out to be a HAZE (over hyped and long deveopment and still suck) It looks cool, but looks like it needs a lot of work still.

I tell ya what tho, that Alan Wake game on the 360 impressed the hell outa me. Thats what sony needs, unique title that makes you say, whole crap, that was pretty cool. Maybe Rockstar will pop out with somthing about that super secret PS3 exclusive title. Also I'm REALLY hopeing to hear somthing about Elder Scrolls 5

the big shock factor i think sony would dominitae  i think is if GTA V would be ps3 only that would be huge.

I want to see what they say about FFXIII thats one of the games i've been looking forward to for awhile now.

I wouldnt expect anything on Final Fantasy, as I said Microsoft already covered it in thier confrence. If Sony does cover it I doubt it will be anything different then what we've already seen.

But as for nintendo... wow, I think they bombed yet again. Sure Metroid looked cool, and they have a new Mario Bros multiplayer game... but I couldnt give 2 craps about EVERYTHING else they talked about.

Nintendo is more focused on just making money from making not-quite-videogames than they are on making sure the Wii has a reputation as more than a money gimmick.

It seems like an extended expansion to me. Set in the US South with 4 new characters, new special infected, new weapons (including melee weapons), new maps. They also said that it will release with more maps for campaign and versus at launch. Oh, and Survival mode will come built-in at release.

Additionally, they're boasting an improved AI Director 2.0 that will be able to control weather and environment and map characteristics. Made it sound as though the new maps won't be entirely linear, maybe multiple paths to choose.

For me at least, all three conferences were not that good.

I think Sony might have just killed any hope Microsoft had with the Natal Project. And quite possibly out did everything Nintendo wii was trying to do with the wii mote. I'll be the 1st to admit, when those guys with the motion capture stuff came out, at 1st I thought "ewww this is gonna be bad" Then when they actually demod the thing, WOW.

That right there is TRUE 1to1 motion capture at its BEST. Personally I'm still not a fan of useing my whole body to play video games, which is one reason why I liked the sixaxis controller, its subtle yet effective. However that was the most impressive display of motion gaming I have seen, and it was just a stupid crude demo.

Here is the funniest thing about that motion capture demo... This is somthing Nintendo should have been doing LONG LONG ago and had the technoligy to do it, here is a link to what im talking about. I CAN NOT belive Nintendo never capitalized on this when it was 1st shown off. Also I can see the 360 fanbois now screaming about how stupid the ball looks on the end of the remote for the PS3, and all I got to say about that is, you look like an idiot no matter if your useung a wii mote or talking to a virtual little kid or useing an imaginary steering wheel or bow and arrow, so who gives a crap what the remote looks like as long as it works!

God of War III obvously looks awesome, same with Uncharted 2, but HOT DAM GT5 blew me away, finally realistic damage, plus they even intergrated NASCAR. Now I'm not a fan of NASCAR but I can certinly see the appeal. I love loud fast cars... I just dont like watching drunk hillbillys watch loud fast cars lol. And look out... Final Fantasy XIII! Here comes Final Fantasy XIV (online apprently) Never been a fan of the FF series, but I know millions of others are, so thats awesome. As big a fan of MGS I am, the MGS Peacewalker didn't really get me to excited, just because its on the psp, and I own a psp lol. I'd just rather play it on my TV.

But the best suprise to me, the small little hint of Rockstar's Agent (which Im very glad they announced) but more importantly... The Last Gaurdian. I've played ICO, and Shadow of the collosus, and while I really like both of those games, there was somthing about this one that just hit me hard. It was down rite emotional... I think I'm just a sucker for big cute animals. But wow did it look absolutly fantastic.

No doubt in my mind did Sony trump both Microsoft and Nintendo this year... spectacular!

OH SNAP! And the Lilac colored Hanna Montanah PSP!!!  OMG I am getting one of those!

according to IGNS schedule there is a unnanonced PS3 Title Video at 745 pst time tommorow night.

I think Sony did a decent job of clawing back some of the initiative microsoft took.

I prefer Sony to Microsoft and would most likely prefer Ps3's to 360's if I owned one, however, despite my preferences ironically the Ps3 is the only Next-Gen Console I don't own,

just finished watching what I missed of the conferences and after all the flak they got last year Nintendo really played it safe this time.  All that came out of it was a conference that although it had some good announcements felt fairly boring in total.

Sony did a good job of covering their titles and showing off the upcoming lineup for the PSP Go. The gameplay and the tech demos that went on were also strong, but I still think Microsoft's conference killed since they made it less about sales numbers and that sort of thing at more about the content coming out for the system.

I think, overall, all of the big 3 had very good shows this year.

MS had the most stuff that interests me personally, but I do think Sony stole a bit of their thunder with having a very similar motion based control system (particularly in how they used more gamer focused test applications to show it off).

Even N didn't blow it this year like they've done the past few.  The new 4 player Mario looks cool (assuming it scales properly to actually be fun with less than 4 players) decent and Galaxy 2 is, wel, more of the same.  Even though I have no interest whatsoever in Galaxy 1 or 2, I know so many people loved Galaxy 1 so it should hit big.  The only N game I personally find interesting is the new Metroid, but that's because I'm a big fan of Team Ninja and it's nice the unbelievably redundant Metroid formula possibly get mixed up a little bit. (Just as with the Metroidvania games, no matter how good the core play is, I'm bored to death of explore, find item, backtrack, explore, find item, backtrack, zzzzz... ).  Still no Kid Icarus though hehe

I got an elite 360 and had one issue with it. It started not to read games and moves. I tried to use the old canned air and lense cleaner trick but the issue just got worse till it just didnt read anything at all.  I had to send it in to get a new DVD Rom installed.  So to yasamuu send it in for repairs or it will start getting worse.

Mm-mm, there was some interview where it was confirmed that it will be a sequel at full retail price because of all the new changes. Im annoyed, but I can understand why, for a game that was designed for the Xbox, since they couldnt keep updating the game like TF2 for their precious console players.

Watch them all yesterday and all I have to say is that SOny is going to blow everyone out  of the water they got something for EVERYONE!
