A number 5 and lightning... Which almost certainly means Metal Gear Solid 5, with Raiden as the playable character. Sounds great!
Now, some people insist that's actually an S, and its a sequel to Snatcher, but... teasing us like that would just be mean.

I was about 13 I think... when I played Snatcher.... so on that note I highly doubt it xD.

MSX remakes?! If so, we could play the entire Metal Gear saga in 3d, with David Hayter's voice throughout. In other words, as a gamer, my life would be complete.
Here's the MGS4 equivalent. Insert an "E", and there you go. Supposedly the motto around the emblem is "Military without borders". That's Outer Heaven, all right.

In the bottom right corner this face fades in and out of the Kojima Productions/Foxdie logo... no idea what it is, but it reminds me of a H.R. Giger painting.
OH! anda new letter flashed too, a 'C' and (more as I write this) an 'O' or numeral 'Zero' and a 6 so that gives us in tottal so far...

Supposedly there's more to do with that mask.. or so says Kotaku.
Personally, I'm kind of hoping it's nothing to do with MGS even though most of the signs at this point certainly seem to indicate it is MGS related. Not that I'm anti-MGS or anything, but Kojima has done more quality stuff than just the MG series.

well its pretty much confirmed there will be a new Metal Gear Game it was said in the latesst qore that was leaked with the psp go that there will be one game for psp and i think they said ps3 as well

The storm of course had something to say about Raiden. The sun breaking through and shining, though, that's the light at the end of the tunnel, I suppos, Imax.
As to the eight, I'm stummped, too. Hmmm, wait, would eight be the eigth installment in the series, full scale and canon title in the series, maybe? (Full-scale meaning excluding Portable Ops, and such.)
I dunno... however I'm pretty sure Raiden is not going to be in this game. I think thats going to be Frank Yager/Grey Fox/Ninja from MGS1, also Null in MGS PO. Looks a lot like Raiden, but this is almost certainly going to be a prequel considering how young Big Boss looks, therefore Raiden wouldnt even be born yet.
We never really see what Grey Fox looks like unless you count Null in Portable Ops, and he has short blond hair in that game. Also the band going over his eye sorta gives it away, as you see Grey Fox has what looks like a robotic eye when he opens up his mask in MGS1.
Ah, pieced together very well. Big Boss is indeed my favorite character, with Raiden not even second, but in the same spot. Now, I'm wondering why there is such a huge likeness between Raiden and Grey Fox, if your assumptions are correct. This has got to be even before Metal Gear if it all fits in the way you pieced it together, because BB is indeed, still young.

yea looks like I was wrong about that being Grey Fox =( But it does sound like there will be 2 games. I have a feeling tho that the other will be a psp game. I hope I'm wrong tho.
A new Portable Ops (or possibly Acid) was confirmed for the PSP. However, considering that downright gorgeous Big Boss rendering on the teaser website, I wouldn't rule out a PS3 game yet.

Appearantly Rising is going to be multiplatform. The new PSP game (unclear wether it is for UMD, PSP Go, or both) is rumored to be titled "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walkers". Interesting. Big Boss doing some work for the UN, perhaps? Either way, an infinitely superior title to "Portable Ops".
I was always under the impression that Kojima said that MGS4 would be his last metal gear game, like he said in MGS3.
I'm one of the few who liked Raiden in MGS2. Looking forward to it.

Nah, it was the last game featureing Solid Snake. Solid Snake's story is wrapped up and needs no more additions. I also liked Raiden in MGS2, but probobly doesnt hurt that MGS2 was the 1st MGS game I played and didnt know much about the franchise (as I imagin most didnt) But after playing MGS1: Twin Snakes on my buddies Gamecube I fell in love with snake's character.
But all in all I think Big Boss is the shizzle in teh hizzle. I mean it all Started with him, and geez man, after playing MGS3 when it came out, at that moment I knew the MGS Series was what it is... the most spectacular story saga ever placed in a video game.
Big Boss is just awesome... somehing about him... its not the eyepatch, its more then that. He is just awesome, more then Solid Snake... if that makes any sense lol.
Well, its not MGS5 or an MSX remake, but it has Big Boss (... four of him?!). I'll bite. Looks way better than Portable Ops, at the very least.

yea the 4 big boss's threw me off... but I think its just a representation of the co-op gameplay... but apprently everyone gets to play snake, just wearing a diffrent outfit. Personally I'm pretty dissapointed. I love the MGS series to death, but I wanna play it on my TV =( I might still get it tho.

I feel the same way, pretty disapointed that its on psp.
You can hook a PSP 2000 or 3000 up to an HDTV. You can hook a 3000 up to an SDTV.
Imax, I'm surprised you like Raiden. Raiden, besides Big Boss is my favorite character, I wouldn't place one first and then second. I find it funny how people don't take kindly to Raiden's appearance in MGS2. They don't realize that the story was never about Solid Snake, it was about Big Boss. Solid Snake is the Raiden to Naked Snake, as Raiden is to Solid. Now, it seems, Raiden is taking the torch.
It's looks like we're going to be in for an incredible story with Peace Walkers, and there's not question about how Rising will turn out. Waiting will be...difficult.
