New player saying hello

Just wanted to say hello. New player here. I'm loving the game so far, but have to question if I got into this game too late? Reading thru the forums it doesnt sound like the devs are even supporting the game anymore? This is quite sad if true. Any plans to let people make private servers and let the game evolve or continue if these servers ever shut down?

I enjoy roleplay, and have met some nice people so far on syntax. I can see myself playing this game for along time, but still worry about lack of dev support for the future.

Welcome to the Matrix Online.  Enjoy it while you can because it's pretty apparent that SOE no longer cares for us - if they ever did.  They have promised not to shut us down while people still play so you should have time to try everything.  Feel free to ask around in-game for pointers or information on what to do and where to find it.  Have fun. 

Thanks! Hit lvl 10 last night. Enjoying it so far. Did lots of missions to meet the Frenchman and Persephone. Just wondering now if maybe I should switch factions to the Machines. Dont see many Merovingian players around as much as Exile or Machines. Would be nice to play with a crew.

Hey thanks. was watching the pvp there last night. that rsi capture animation with dual smg's looks too cool on some people. im at the point where im not sure which way to go. was thinking master shadow/smg specialist hybrid or something like that. so many branches to try though. this game is already addicting.
