Well, just as the title says, I think it's been mentioned somewhere in the archieves, what type of fly (the technical term) was the Assassin made of?

I think they are blowflies. I'm not 100% sure though.
Either Blowflies or Bowflies Starts with a "B", I know that much.
In one of the Chapt 1 missions, you collect a dead and a live Blowfly so think Garu is right.
According to the first Zion 2.1 mission, "Better Killing Through Cemistry", the technical term for the type of blowfly that the Assassin is made up of is "calliphora vicina".
