Unless they get a hovercraft with a flame thrower or gratuitous amounts of money at their disposal, I'm not too concerned.
These kids are playing a very dangerous game. A serious criminal is not going to think twice about putting a bullet in their costumed chest or face. A "real" super hero has powers/abilities to keep them alive. These kids' imaginations are not going to protect them. If you want to play at being a vigilante, go thru the training to become a licensed bounty hunter, learn how to use a gun and get a concealed carry permit, and learn some martial arts. Bringing a tazer and pepper spray to a gun fight is going to get you one thing: dead.
Their hearts are in the right place, but if they really want to fight crime they should get a gun and a concealed weapons permit before hitting the streets.
If you're gonna do this... at least get into shape. Spandex is a privelage... not a right. I feel so orry for the kid in the green and black outfit. Captain Muffintop or whatever his name was.
This could start a new craze though. Extreme-risk LARPing
