Rarest items. Who has them? Are they active?

Fractor's Super Awesome Website

Anti-override prototype v0.1 is a device developed by Cryptos and could be picked up only after completing the live version of Machine mission 11.2.5. The program is tradable.

I think I heard that the Black Box was on Vector, (Thanks Endo) and only 1 of these exists. Tseng may have it. It was obtained by Tseng when one of the General's helicopters was downed.

The Assassin's Mask was given to 4 players on each server. The player earned the item by landing the killing blow on an Assassin (when he split into 4 separate entities [per server]). I think Cap0ne landing the final hit on 2 of the Assassins on Recursion, but I suppose only he could confirm that. The item has Ballistic upgrades among others and is tradable.

Beta clothing items were given to anyone who played during beta testing. Shirt, pants, shades and boots were given to everyone. Gloves and jackets were given to players that reported bugs. Gloves are rarer than the coat, I assume there was a difference in the criteria of your contribution to beta testing to get the gloves. All Beta items are nontradable, though they used to be tradable when they were released shortly after launch.

Blue Fragments were taken off Sleepwalkers during the Piece of Blue Sky event. You could trade them for the Security shirt or hat and the Blue Sky shirt and hat.

Box of Tissues, Brewko Dolls and Moonlite Dolls can only be obtained when Brewko holds his trivia sessions. Correct answers get one of these items. The box of tissues performs an animation of your RSI blowing his or her nose. Not sure what the Brewko or Moonlite Dolls do. They are nontradable.

Box of Valuables is a super rare drop off any NPC. It has no function and is nontradable. The details say that it can be sold to a vendor for information. Recycling it gets you 2,500 and selling gets you 5,000.

The Burning Eye trench and coat were given to players who submitted a code published in a gaming magazine. I do not know the details of this. The item is nontradable.

Deep Blue Jeans and Verdigras shirt were items given to players who preregistered for Fan Fair.

EMCP Codes can be traded for EMCP Devices at Merovingian Collectors. EMCP Devices deliver massive damage to Elite Commandos. They are tradable.

Enhanced Silver Bullets and Enhanced Wooden Stakes can be obtained by trading Weapon codes to Zion and Machine organizational vendors.

Executable RSI Captures can be obtained by defeating the lvl 70 Executable in the office through the white hallways.

Flit Gun was a mission reward item for completeing the missions of collecting the parts of the Flit gun and assembling them. I think chapter 2. The gun still works as a tool but has no effect on it's target. It was used in defeating the Assassin and can be seen in action in a Cinematic. Nontradable.

Fly in Amber was a LET event reward for players who participated in the Death of the Destroyer event killing the Assassin. It is nontradable and regenerates IS at the cost of some health (I think).

Glimmer of the Source, Zion Hardware Requisition and Merovingian's Boone. I forget why these were given to players, but they are nontradable and grant Toughness 10% for 30 minutes with no re-use timer.

Merovingian Cake used to be available after Merv events by the Francine vendor. Now Francine is always available to serve you the delightful treat. They are nontradable.

Neo Fragments were droped from enemy NPCs during the Race to find the One event. The frags are tradable.

Neo's Insight not sure what this did, but it is not activateable.

Newspaper Clippings are still obtainable via early archive missions.

The Oracle Cookie was a reward for events involving the Oracle. On Recursion, Roukan recived a dozen for protecting the Oracle from an Elite Commando in which Kid took the bullet with a Kill Code crafted by the Apothecary for the Oracle. Roukan landed the final blow on the Elite Commando. To my knowledge the item has no functions. these are tradable.

Organization Abilities were developed by HCFrog before his departure from the MxO team. They were recently leaked into the game but withdrawn.

The Overdrive Bandana, Quicksilver Gloves, the Quicksilver Compilation Module and the Decompiler Overdrive Module can be obtained by datamining and defeating the spawns. You must collect certain fragments and such to successfully craft them. The Overdrive Bandana upgrades all Damage by 10% while causing Enraged. The Quicksilver Gloves buff all defenses by 6% as well as all resistance by 20 pts. The Quicksilver gloves also have the special FX otherwise known as "Hand is Glow". The Decompile Module is a luggable that buffs your crafting, as is the Quicksilver Compilation Module.

The Pink Gi is obtainable by finishing all of the highest Sati Playground Kounichi boxes. I believe it is tradable and has no buffs.

Presents were dropped in the city like luggables during the Winter Holiday events by Rarebit for players to find. They are different from the ones available at Prop Vendors in that their description is different and they are not craftable and decompilable. Special thanks to Omega0 for pointing this out.

The Red pill and Blue pill were event rewards and have no function. They are tradable.

Red-eye Agent PDAs were dropped by Red-Eyed imposter agents during the first Live Event. You can see a glimpse of them in mission items in chapter 1 archive missions.

Scanline Recievers are items that when right clicked and Used opened a webpage within the game that displayed a single graphic depicting a transmission from a rogue hovercraft named Scanline. The ship was crewed by former members of all organizations whose suposed purpose was to surface secrets and truths about their former org.

The System FM1500 Magnum is a black Magnum handgun used by agents and was given to players as an event reward. It is non tradable.

System Tie Clips were obtained by defeating the lvl 100 "War" Agents that would spawn on players in Westview, International and Downtown starting with Chapter 8. The War Agents have been removed from the game, but I believe you can obtain them by defeating lvl 100 Agents that spawn during Data Mining.

I put Translocation Programs on the list because to my knowledge the last time one was handed out was June, 2007. They were originally given out to all players that endured the Monolith to SOE server transfer and were tradable for either the Awakening Jacket or Glasses via Loripor, the Mara Collector. The jacket has the "No Fly" sign on it and the shades have green matrix code within them. The Glasses upgrade Viral accuracy, defense and Combat Tactics by 5 points for 10 seconds and are nontradable.

Terminator Bits cause massive damage to NPCs killing most with the one hit. A few members of the Trust have them on Recursion. They are obtained by killing a Terminator Program.

The White Knight Virus is an actual virus attack that was given to Craint (?) who won the game of human chess that the Chessman held in Tabor one day on Recursion. It's supposedly a "real" (activatable?) version.

Zen Master Abilities were leaked into the game. Zen Master was the equivilent of the Sniper tree for MA.

I had a translocation device during the original transition, and then won another as a reward from an event a good while back. I never traded that one in, so it's still sat there in my inventory as the green code. I also have a zion hardware requisition, red and blue pill, oracle cookie among some other things I think.

As far as I know, very few of the assassin masks are still on active accounts, I know ILLFACE has one on vector, and Riac.

I have the Awakening Jacket, but I received the Translocation Program from making the top 3 in some EPN Training on Syntax around last year I think.

Edit: I also have a red pill and Oracle cookie on Vector.

I've never heard of the Black Box, outside of the luggable.  Is that what you're talking about?  That's on every server.

On Recursion, Craint has the only remaining two Assassin Masks.  There used to be four, but Cap0ne's was taken by Brewko, and the last one was in Plizkin's possession and he recycled it before cancelling his subscription.

I have an Awakening Jacket.  I wouldn't say that was rare, just unattainable.  I'd say Neo's Insight is rarer, which I have as well.

I got a pair of Awakened shades in Vinia's inventory. She got a translocation program for assisting in the infiltration of Wright research a while back. CSR's wouldn't let me swap it for the jacket for my main, which I would have loved to have, because she was the one who earned it

I also have a pair of Deep Blue's.

I am on Syntax, and active somewhat. I think the rarest items would be Assassins Mask, Beta Coat, Burning Eye Trench and System FM-1500. I used to have the mask, but after a load of drama, it went back to mask's original owner, Tpaine.

I have a Perpetual Flame Virus, Fly Virus Immunity, GLITCH! (oops)[glitch kitty], Kill-Code, All level 99 Abilties, and Zen Master, Blue Pill, Red Pill, Scanline Receiver, Hack Computer Grant Pills, Activity Facilitator 1.0 and 2.0 Pills. Awakening Jacket and Glasses, Fly in Amber, Glimmer of the Source, Prenerfed Ashencourte Leggings; Black Widows Gi; Caution Boots, Deep Blue Jeans.

I got a translocation program in late '08 for killing the Agent associated with the attempted Kalt bargain, just FYI. It was kind of lame to be honest, especially since I already had the other article of clothing.

There's a White Knight virus item out there that was only ever given out once as far as I'm aware - to whoever it was that won the game of human chess that the Chessman held in Tabor one day on Recursion. It's supposedly a "real" (activatable?) version.

I had the original one from server merge. The date on the email from the 2nd I got is 9/18/2006.

There were only 4 masks per server.

And you cant forget the Enhanced Silver bullet that doesnt break, the last one of those was rumoured to have sold for like 2 bill on syntax.

There are only 4 masks per server.

And the enhanced silver bullet was a Archive mission drop which players managed to get out of the mission, when farming widows moor it 2 hits gargoyle and it can be continually spammed without it consuming.

Neo fragments, Enhanced Silver Bullet, newspaper clipping and Awakening glasses. I'll check my pockets the next time I'm jacked in.

Also, I'm glad you brought the Assasin Event / PDA Collector items and drops.  They are: 

Zion Collector:  Filter Shades,  Partisan Jacket, Army Boots.

Machine Collector:  Gigaflop Glasses, Overclocked Suit, Gigahertz Shoes

Merovingian Collector:  Gilded Gloves, Cashmere Overcoat, Silk Beret

All Thre Orgs:  Fly Virus Immunity

The Docs look fascinating.  Have these been posted anywhere???

- Seishin-teki kyoyo Kunoichi RSI Capture (Only one person has this that I know of, Zeac on Vector.  This is the top Kunoichi drop, the one with the smokey FX)

- Executable RSI Capture (Pretty rare, we have only one on Vector atm.  Roy has it.)

- Perhaps the rare shurikens dropped by the Daimyo Kunoichi.  I dunno if Pink Gi / Kunoichi Doll should be added to the list.  Or the lower-level Kunoichi RSI Captures.

The Overdrive Bandana, Quicksilver Gloves, the Quicksilver Compilation Module and the Decompiler Overdrive Module can be obtained by datamining and defeating the spawns. You must collect certain fragments and such to successfully craft them. The Overdrive Bandana upgrades all Accuracy by 10% and the Quicksilver Gloves buff all damage by 6%, I think.

Terminator Bits can cause over 3,000 damage to a lvl 50 player that is not exploiting somehow. A few members of the Trust have them on Recursion. Not sure how they were obtained, but I think I have an idea.

A few small corrections here:

ZHR, Glimmer, and Merv Boone all last for 30 minutes, not 5, and they do not have a re-use timer.  (You can re-activate it before it wears off.)

The Overdrive Bandana increases all types of damage by 10%, not accuracy, and it also causes Enraged.  The Quicksilver gloves increase all types of defense by 6%, not damage, and they increase each type of resistance by 20pts.

Terminator Bits only affect NPCs, not players, and I believe it will kill any NPC in one shot, except Wasteland Corruptors and level 255 agents.  (The agents will still take some damage, just not enough to kill them in one shot.)

The only item that has been mentioned that I haven't put on the list is the Holiday Presents. I found a few of these when Rarebit dropped them in the City but found no difference between the ones found and the Presents offered at Prop Vendors. I checked the Details and there was nothing different. I recycled them.  Can anyone show difference between the 2 items?

There is no true difference other than the Winter presents were found on the ground instead of at the vendor.  I'm fairly certain they are just the same item but dropped into the world by an admin.

Oh!  I still have the code that allows you to create Enhanced silver bullets/stakes/holy water.  That might be even rarer than the items themselves.

For the Terminator Bits, the people in the Trust who got them did so by destroying Terminators and looting them.

And, unless Craint has come in here saying otherwise, he should only have two masks.  Cap's was confiscated by Brewko, and the one Plizkin had he recycled when he left.  That leaves only two masks (Cap0ne only received one from Seraph, not two...  so there's only four masks total).

This what i heard

Neo's Insight used to do the same as what ZHR, GotS and MB do nowadays: Grant enhanced toughness when activated. The exact amount varied, depending on how many PDA's were collected and delivered to the Organization collector, when the Red Eyes Agent LE took place. When Glimmer of the Source, Zion Hardware Requisition and Merovingian's Bond were handed out, NI was deactivated.

BTW, the name for the Merovingian token is Merovingian's Bond.

Although the newspaper clippings aren't all that hard to come by.  What about the old Meson rifles that Tasky used to drop from before Rare cleaned up One Zero?

Oh also on that note, the original Taskmaster's Beret with no level limit that can be traded to other players?  (Not Taskmaster Beret Zero).

Oh, snap wasn't there a little mini event or contest that Rare put on all three servers (I think) where you had to solve a puzzle by Straight Edge Jack in Gracy Heights for a special pair of Pugilist's Gloves that kept the old buffs but didn't have the same insane decay rates as the other pre-reflow items?
