I think you just dont want people to see you play the role of Internet gangster.

What devs?

True
Wish Rare made some pvp content before he left. Only DM and rarely anyone goes in there. If there was some sort of auto flagging system on syntax, i would prob enjoy it more. But it just gets so monotonous so quick. Especially with the people who need to rebuff etc then flag. (but true they'd buff before they'd enter the auto flag >_<
Just to many probs with non hostile pvp for it to work well.

I probably have a combined level total of around 200, and rarely found this to be a problem. During events we had enough patchers (ahh the good old area heals that cured everyone) to offset the Howitzers/Jerks during events. And now there are no events so this isn't a problem.
The only time this was a problem for me was when Oooroyooo chased me from midian all the way to Dannah back in the day... lolNobody has a problem with being flagged, the problem is alot of Vectorites attitudes towards us they make alts on our server every other month people like Macside come and smacktalk, ontop of that on this dying game what does Vector have to offer us that we dont have on our home server?
A hostile enviroment? i'll make a lowbie and run through westview
Vector has better player events, by far, and a better community too, in my opinion. Also, you can't seriously think that running through Westview as a lowbie is anything like being chased by reds on Vector. I have experienced both, and trust me, there's a huge difference.
I've experienced both also, it's called sarcasm and of course in your eyes the community is better, i mean you log onto Syntax put on your perpetual stand around for 10 minutes then logout, You dont even interact with others because alot of us got bored of you alongtime ago.
LOL, there are so many things wrong with this post, where to begin...
First of all, if you don't know how to use sarcasm correctly, then you shouldn't try to use it at all.
Second, when I log onto Syntax, I usually leave way before ten minutes have passed, more like one or two minutes. It's kind of depressing to log onto Syntax. Sometimes I see people PvPing, but there's usually more Zionites flagged than Mechs or Mervs, and I only enjoy PvP when it's challenging.
I can't believe you would pretend to know why I don't interact with others. Actually, I do occasionally interact with people, just not usually in Mara. And what makes you think that people got bored of me? Is it because when I log on, people are usually just standing around like a bunch of zombies? I'm pretty sure it's like that even when I'm not online.
I pretty much only stay logged on if there are people online for me to RP with, or if someone asks me to help with farming, or if there's a player event that looks fun (like this one or this one example). Unfortunately, most of the player events on Syntax don't interest me at all. Vector, on the other hand, has many player events that I enjoy.
Lastly, the reason why Vector's community is better is because you don't play over here.

All funny from this side. I went there and tried it out but nope, absolutely nothing compared to here. Fair enough a bit faster, odd time a couple of more people. But in the end, it seems to be the same 20 people that flag... lol It gets boring an repetative so fast, none of that 'CHARGE!!!' over there.

That made me lol
To many egos over here already, his would get crumpled
Spoke to Pharoh when i had just hit 50, he was iintrested in over here but of course the usual, LVLN
I go onto syntax, roll smoke, lucky to have had 5 or 6 people talking for more than 20 secs lol Vectorites talk so much random drool i lol everytime i'm on <3 Very rarely is there a moment of silence unless, no-ones on..
I hit lvl 50 on syntax the exact same date as a pvp event over there. NO1 turned up. 1 planned for a month after, NO1 turned up. Point proven. Syntaxians don't care as much about pvp as they do about farming zombies rofl
Oh Omega, you forgot, Endo is a stalker and can read your whispers and know exactly where your at and who your with
The idea was good enough. To be true, i don't see the problem about being flagged all the time but when every post like this ends up in "This is Bruce's post" it fails big time.
I don't mind log in on my first character here, actually I already tried to start a faction here, but running all the missions again to get to level 50.... I don't mind giving it another try getting some faction mates over here, but can't promise. Did try it before but they have left the game now.
Saying that syntax is all ego players, well when it comes to server pride I guess the ego is no bigger here then it's on syntax or recursion.
And if Bruce want the last word here, be my guest but please stop to ruin it for the other players here, you are not their ambassador.

Leveling up on Enumerator (and subsequently two more times on Vector) has been a great experience. Not knowing what was waiting for me at a hardline or inbetween mission areas was a great rush and something I relay to others when I promote this server. In turn I've brought quite a few to the darkside.

Mindsweep, would be a good idea to level up if for nothing more then tournaments and events.
Zion courier event is alot of fun, Thereinwhitten promises a mini tourny every couple weeks, DE throws fight nights and smaller events in between the biggies, Titans coming through with another soon, and Insurgence has been giving it a go lately.
By all means keep Syntax, those are your people we all understand that, even the 2 guys at each others throats, but on your tax' down time maybe you can have some fun.

I always wanted that, but running around alone :-/ I did start here on vector but left do to the "cheap cq's hunt for lowbies" that was going on. Don't mind a battle but when there are teams out only to do that, i pack my stuff and leave as it's getting boring. Getting more 50's would be more fun to pvp, killing a lowbie imo. for a cheap cq is just boring pvp. It happen's i know hostile server...

I help ya out in what ever way i can.
And FFS plz delete this entire thread already.
<./img>Aye Mind you'll get your odd idiot that will chase down a mish team. When its someone close to your lvl though, its on
(doesn't happen much now due to lack of lowbies
)
People that do that are like the people that will give a lowbie a lug over on syntax, then kill them.
Few newbie 50's from TT that would prob be willing to help lvl people up. I hate missions but i could always do some.
It is alot better to have people on your list on vector. Not everyone trapses through mara when their on. Tend to farm one of the umpteen items scattered about the city. It was easy to find them when it was only 01 and commando halls lol

The hunting down lowbies thing is a thing of the past for the most part. When I see a lowbie now of another org I practically bend over backwards to help them, we need all the people we can get
I think a good amount of Vectorites have this same state of mind and are always open to have new players come onboard. Besides, that person might make a nice opponent one day.
Besides my philosophy has always been if I'm not specifially PvPing and I'm going about my business I wont attack you unless you attack me first, no matter if your a 50 or a lowbie.
And even then, a total nub lvl 3 attacked me in Uriah the other day, could have easily attacked back but I let him swat at my shield for a while and advised him it wasn't generally a good idea to attack a red lvl 50. He got the message and left after a minute or two

No, you don't know how to use sarcasm correctly. As far as I can tell, you weren't even trying to make a point.
LOL, I never claimed to be the greatest MA, I simply disagreed with you when you said that I wasn't a "worthwhile" MA. And I think a lot of other players, across all three servers, will also disagree with you on that.
Like I said before, I still play on Syntax once in a while, mainly when there's a player event that looks fun. And once I'm done with grad school, I'll be spending a lot more time there. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I have never seen you on Vector. Therefore, Vector's better.
Actually, I kind of wish you would level up on Vector, just so that I would have the chance to hunt you down.

That's exactly what Rascal did in the Syntax forum. He wasn't talking down to anyone, and he even offered to help anyone who decided to go Merv on Vector. It's a shame that some of the people on Syntax cannot give the same respect that they receive.
