whats the policy on useropts. i think it would be more intresting without them.

#36300554778 04/17/2009 19:07:32 Re:Re:Mega City Photography Contest Discussion - 04-17-09

Hey V, do all screenshots have to be eaxctly 1024x768, or will you allow lower resolution or black bars? I'd hate to see stretched 16:9 shots sized down without propper proportions.

Yeah.. and I've got FRAPs framerate #s on my images.. editing the numbers out would be easy enough, but that would then make the images "edited" and thus unusable.  "Letterboxing" to a more widescreen type ratio would help that.  Oh well, I'll post what I've got and edit later if possible.

As for user opts, I think it depends on just how much tweaking you plan to do (or plan not to do).  Trying to set some sort of limit on this might be difficult.

User opts shoud stay, as for FRAPS you can turn the framerate numbers off you know.
<<Screenshots>> uncheck "include frame rate overlay on screenshots."

Yeah, but I actually use MxO to take my screens, not FRAPs.  Something always seems off about the quality/colours when I take screens in FRAPs (or perhaps I'm just seeing things :p ).

Let's just say I prefer them to be that size...but I'm not going to be that strict.

Thanks.  It is also one of my favorite spots too, i usually sit on the banks of the pond just staring out on the water, thinking.

Sorry, my useropts are insane, but ask anyone who's seen me play, etc. I play with them that high, I didn't intentionally screw with the results. Just a heads up.

I'd like to also note that they may look a bit screwy because I toned down the resolution from 1440x900.

Are the winners going to be announced today or tomorrow?

A little late, perhaps.. but thank you.  It was a pleasure to take part in a contest such as this.  The City is truly a magnificent subject I never tire of photographing.
