It has come to my attention by some low level who claims that is new to mxo, that the beta coat was placed in his inventory when he subscribed to the game (kinda like the Hyper Jump Beta). I was wondering, can this be true? If it is... where is my coat?
Doubtful as Monolith handed those out. An account would have to be flagged as a Beta account and in Beta submitted X number of bugs. SOE has NO WAY of determining which accounts were Beta, not even the fact that some people have Beta clothing. Beta clothing was release as tradable and later made to be non-tradable, which is why no dev or csr was ever willing to provide my main with the beta clothes i recycles long ago.
SOE people could just look at the fact that EVERY alt I (or any Beta account) create (s) automatically gets Beta gear in my/thier inventory.
So this "new" person could be a new player with a Beta account that submitted X number of bugs. If he was Beta, he's not exactly new, he or she would be returning. If he is new, then he got an old/ returning account.
if you want it back bad enough you can email all your stuff to yourself delete and remake the charicter. email stays consistant with the name, so youd get the beta gear when you remade then pull everyting out of email . just have to grind back to 50
