Broken link? Page won't load in either case. Did you mean "They're doing their Superman thing" ? Do your part to fight Homophonia.

Hmm. The link still works for me but it will disappear soon cos Imdb refreshes it's news thingy. General buzz going about is that Warner is interested in hiring the Wachowskis to direct a trilogy of Superman movies. Personally I think this will be the proper 'reboot' like Batman Begins cos Superman Returns wasnt a 'reboot' imo it was a loose sequel. A three part trilogy could work well in terms of retelling the origins of Kal El, Life in Smallville etc and gives a chance for filmakers to bring back Zod along with introducing villians like Doomsday (Would make an epic second film cliffhanger).
As someone who has absolutely no interest at all in Superman, I hope this isn't true... sure it may be selfish, but I'd much rather have the W's working on something, you know, cool.
Seriously has anyone seen Speed Racer? What s*it that was.
BUT I guess they can do Superman everyone else made it s*it, why not the Wachowskis.
I believe they will take the UTMOST care in making sure the trilogy will be blockbusters. They are comic fanboy's so I think they will stay true to the source material.

indeed and if they eventaully go into doomsday i think they can really make the movies epic
The Titanic engineers took the utmost care to make sure it wouldn't sink...
I'm sorry, Wachowski Brothers, but... you need to give it up.

Yeah, I wanna see them do something non-comic book. Let's go for a regular book now!
Who's up for the Wachowski's take on Winnie the Pooh? I admit, it will definitely be something I willl want to see.

Bound was pretty darn good, even when 2 chicks were't doing the deed. Definatly better in style than story, but the story was no slouch.
I also like V for Vendetta. Though they didn't handle all aspects, I can see their work in the finished product.
Let's just hope it's not a Krypton within a Krypton storyline.

Have you seen how bad Smallville has screwed up the Doomsday stuff?
The first rule of Superman is do not talk about Smallville.
It is pure corruption.

I havent seen Smallville season 8 (?) I lost interest after the Veritas (again ?) storyline and the fact that Michael Rosenbaum and Kristen Kreuk left the show as regulars.

PM me and I'll give you details. I don't want to drop spoilers on here, in case anyone really cares about what's going on in Smallville. Also, you know, I don't want to hijack the thread.

Actually it got pretty good reviews, and most people I know that have seen it thought it was pretty good. Problem was almost no one cared.
Well, I guess this kicks any Matrix related material out of the way if it was even far off in the horizon of the Wachowski's minds, if it's true. If this is indeed true, though, they will most likely take this, common knowledge for the fans of The Matrix that the Wachowski's are comic book fanboys. The way the Matrix Sequels were done, the trilogy would turn out outstanding, and Superman's popularity at the top should be bumped up for about another 50 years, maybe?
Also, Phrack, don't compare the Wachowski's to Smallville writing and directing cast. If one person can't learn to ride a bicycle, it doesn't mean the rest of the world can't learn to ride one, either.
As to reading reviews online, and listening to what your friends had to say, whom have most likely never opened a Superman comic book, and have an outstanding grasp of overall technical quality in television and film drama production, they must know that Smallville is great! Right? ...Right?
Just saying.

Speed Racer was pretty decent, surprisingly.
