i don't know what the deal is but i can't spend 5 minutes in any west. zone without getting offed by an agent.  i'm the appropriate level for the given zone and i have hacked the access node.  i know that being zion means there's always a chance an agent will show up -- even with the access node hacked -- but i thought it was a small enough chance that i could go 5 minutes without getting killed.  this has happened 7 times in a row already and i don't know what to do.  the zion missions (archived or standard) always send me out there, and i've done every contact mission in the safe zone.  so i don't see how i can level any further except grinding on gang members -- but i'll never play this game again if that's the case...

just when i was really liking this game and getting into the groove with it, now i'm totally stuck.  anything i'm missing or is the honeymoon over?

thanks,

dedic

The ironic solution here is: have some patience and by Thursday morning Update 66 will be released, turning off the level 100 "war Agents."  If your missions still then send you to Westview, and if that (being the convoluted death maze for escorted NPCs that Wesview is) bothers you, you'll have to level up using other methods until the Archived and Standard missions can be run from International.

Naah, you're not stuck.

First, are the Agents level 255 or level 100?  Level 255 means you haven't hacked the access node for that particular district.  Let's say you had the Sobra Shores access key, and you hacked that node.  You still need to hack all of the other districts in Westview before they'll stop greifing you.  The level 100 Agents you can just hyperjump away from and they'll leave you alone, whereas the 255's will hunt you until you die or hardline out of there.

The best piece of advice I can offer is to start hacking access nodes in International.  To get to International, hop on the Blue Line subway.  I know for sure you can catch that in Camon heights, but there are other places as well.

As for how to get the access keys for International, go here and track down the access keys and nodes list. International is nicer, generally, than Westview, and the NPC's aren't quite as insane as they can get in Westview.

Uh.. well if you've hacked the node for the zone, it'll be the 'war' agents killing you and if you've seen the latest update notes they're about to be turned off whenever the update happens. Until then, war agents can be given the slip by HJ'ing from them. Also if you want a change from Westview, you can do all standard missions and most archived missions in International at any time and considering you're at the right level for Westview, Int shouldn't be much of a problem for you.

Oh well, looks like PS10N and Qui has already answered your questions.

ok thanks.  i had assumed that international would be higher level than westview -- good to know.  i don't know which agents are killing me but i do know i get one-shotted for thousands of hp.  and yeah, escorting anyone out there is insanity.  just getting around is a pain -- those baddies are on every street and every rooftop!  ok i'm off to international then.  thanks so much!

Just so you know, certain abilities are more likely to attract Agents than others.  So.. you know, act casual.

They're taking away the war Agents? what is the point of having the war then if it has NO effect on the Matrix?
