Basically i made this thread just  to see what silly things you guys used to do when you first started to play the game, espically if this was your First Online game or generally your first MMO i mean its  totally different to playing on your average console.. Well i thought so anyway..

Anywhoo i'll throw mine in first, since this was indeed my only online game and at that time im not even sure i knew what an 'MMO' was.. all i saw was Matrix!! 'carry on the story' and since i loved the films so damm much it was A MUST since i missed Beta i had to get it on launch and.. so i did

I remeber reading the evade combat ability and i think it said something like "this will help stop enemys attacking you "or something on those lines and i thought that it was gonna stop all the gangs shooting me while i was missioning in westview.. obviously to my horror that wasn't the case and took me a few times to realise lol.. i know.. stupid huh.. i think i was like 14 nearly 15 :L mad stuff

please show me im not the only person who was stupid :Lhehe

I can't even remember what i did before i played mxo.. I think i played a lot of my playstation or whatever was around at that time. Same as you as soon as i saw The Matrix Online announced i had to get it at launch. Unluckily for me... My computer wasnt good enough to handle it so i took like.. a LOOOONG break and missed all the good stuff.

I remember playing Runescape (LOL) and before i came back to mxo i tried to look for another game like this like... 9Dragons and Guild Wars etc, but none of them were as good. So i basically got a job and started paying for mxo. And now ive payed approx £140 towards this game lol

Tbh i can't even remember playing the game in CR1 because i was so young lol although i do remember certain friends i had because they were still on my friends list when i returned

Im just wished i'd started a new character with a better name lol.

I just went with the flow and didn't really care about being good at this game. In fact i didn't even have any martial arts clothing until about 3 monthes after i hit 50.. and martial arts is my main layout. I also thought that detect was more important than hyper abilities ^_^

*Just remembered.. This was my 1st mmo (2 monthes with Guild Wars doesn't count), and i didn't know what pvp was.  I just knew that my only job was to stand at hardlines while elelejido2, JB5150, Peder, and some other names i've forgotten long ago waiting off in the distance with sneak Lol

its funny you 2 should say that cus i bought gulid wars too while playing mxo, as mxo got me into this whole online gaming thing, but it just didn't cut it.. infact didn't even come close, i played it for like a week and thought it sucked, i think i got it lying about somewhere hehe

I stalked Kaarnij for like 2 hours till he asked me to join the faction EPITOME OF NEO for the win son.

Also when i got recalled by Seraph at the Assassin event to receive my mask i jumped away twice (and had to be recalled back twice) because i thought i had just gotten kicked from the area due to lag >_> it was my 1st time to get recalled ever lol..

You might wanna call it stupid spending that much time in an MMO, that's why MxO was my first and also my last one.

I loved it back in the days, right after launch playing with sh.itty graphics, everyone being newbs. There were quite some tw.ats running around claiming to be this and that. And since you didn't know better, well you just went with it. That of course, was in 2005. Bloody hell! I can't tell ya all the crap we did, but it rocked.

It was the first HJ I saw in the game. The player (can't remember name) flew straigh up in a military helicopter (what it looked like when you never had HJ before)...i though you then could use a helicopter for tranportation around the the city ....at that point I was only level 2 or 3 and had Median Park W. and Mara C. as HL's lol. Good times tho.

MxO is my first MMO.Back in 2005,Hostile servers were really HOSTILE!So my brilliant idea was not to have shield loaded.........

MxO was my first MMO, I was playing "Delta Force" or something like that for the pc.. then my friend got me hooked on to the whole PVP aspect of the game.  He said "Screw that RP crap, who wants to play in fairy land! Lets go pwn some noobs."   Ahh from there it was numerous talks with GM's about my language.. then it was the big "B" x2...

   Less Mtn Dew, a wife and family I've calmed down from my noobius ways.

I started playing a little bit before the '06 Halloween Event, and I had no idea what it was, and when I saw a guy with a Balthial Mask on I asked "Are you Neo?"

During the following Holiday Event, of which I also had no idea about, me and a friend found a Mobile Snowman luggable, and we hid it in Club Parallaxis like it was a gold mine. Then, we found a roof in eastern Tabor Park with like 25 snowmen on it.

During the Insurgence Holiday party of that year, I took a ton of snowmen from that roof and put them in Club Sphinx where we were partying. The 17th caused anyone in Dannah Heights and Appolyon to crash, the hardlines for both went inactive (red), and we had to move to Club Messiah.

I double-clicked for free money on a machine at Mara C my first day playing MxO.

   Dunno if it was so noobish, but it was during those early days where you could get stuck in the air and still walk, and of course, it was the favorite thing on the menu of exploitables. I never bothered learning how to use the technique since I was firmly against exploiting. At the usual hang out during the Enumerator era for Zion by Mara C, the rooftop adjacent to the hardline itself, I jump off of the roof but end up higher than the roof itself. People start joking around, asking if I'm Neo. I then proceed throughout the day, as if king of the world, claiming I'm Neo! -_-

  It was fun while it lasted.

Hmm... now that there's a thread for this, I can't remember the stupid stuff I did.  >_<

I do remember always aborting my missions in westview cause I literally thought I wan't allowed to go into restricted areas.

I started a few months before CR2 and thought that the combat system was like Tekken or DOA and would just spam tactics <_<

I didn't figure out that the blue bar right under the IS bar was how filled up an xp box was till like 6 months ago <_<

I was stupid and girly mistake and wore clothes based off how they looked than for their buffs ^^

I didnt know about the interlock and free fire on the hotbar.  I would always right click to interlock and I put my gun up on the hotbar

I didn't know you had to activate your upgrade, thought it was passive.  Didnt know for a while that different tactics caused different states, thought it was random.  Was Hacker so states didnt matter much anyway.

From the meet the merv info i read, I thought that if I joined merv I would get extra special abilities/powers like it described.

Thought rarebit was rabbit.

Its cool to see that mxo was alot of ppls first mmo. It was my first mmo also. I was so lost when I started playing this game. It was really different from like my usual ps2 mash button games.

I just remember asking alot of gamers tons of dumb questions like how does block help lmao.

I also didn't know that vector hostle was different from other servers it was just the first on the list so I selected it. 

Mxo till this day has been my only MMo computer game. Not sure if Halo counts as a mmo although thats a system game. Cause I played that.

I had no idea what the servers were either.  I was with my friend (Tornadon) when he made his character, before i had my own account and was just going.. Choose that one!! it sounds the most badass!! I didn't know what hostile meant, but it sounded cool :3

After being invited to join beta, I studied Tyndall's City Guides up and down.  I was READY!!

After having to do a much needed RAM/vid card upgrade, I loaded up the game and pressed "Jack In".  I appear at Tabor Park West and nearly gasm as the green code peels away from the world.  It was my first PC game, let alone MMO.  I gasp at the sheer awesomeness.

So I run forward and move out into the street.  Suddenly I'm getting attacked and have no idea why!  I quickly take off running, yet my attacker pursues me!!  Frustrated (and not sure how to attack back), I scream "Stop it!" 

Yet he persists...

"Leave me alone!  I just jacked in for the first time buttnugget!"

I'm outraged at how cruel another player could be and just knew he was laughing at me.  Then it dawned on me...
