Is re-installing the MxO required?

I wasn't quite sure whether I should put it in "Support Forums", so I told myself it'd be ok to post my qestion here as well.

The matter is that I reinstall my Windows pretty often due to various reasons, and so obviously I'd be expected to reinstall the MxO too. But a while back I just tried and saw the game was working as it was, without any re-installation, and I wasn't experiencing any apparent troubles. That's why I thought: well, if I don't have to re-download all the patches, I'm more than fine with it.

But now I'd like to know now if there actually is any reason to re-install the game. Most of the other games I had worked quite bad without it, if at all.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Jack in.

If it says "NO!!!1!!!11!" then reinstall MxO.

Else, proceed as usual.

works fine, installed during the pre order and moved machines/drives bunch of times. clear your screens out of root if you get a chance though that slows it down eventually

Sounds pretty fair.

Or you could just copy the recent working Mxo folder you have onto an External HD and just copy it to to your fixed PC so that you don't have to repatched for that long. then just fire up your launcher to make sure you've patched up to the most current patch.

Screens cleared, thanks for the advice.

I tried that method once too. Thank you as well.
