I've seen this blanket with sleeves product advertised on TV, and it makes the wearer look like an ancient druid or some inhabitant of a futuristic totalitarian society.

Now, the "newspaper" (and that term applies loosely), [the] "The USA Today," is advertising & hyping the Snuggie up by claiming there is a Snuggie-mania sweeping the land.  Personally, I have not seen evidence of such Snuggie-maniacal behavior.

Compare the Snuggie to the Stonecutters costume from the Simpsons episode, Homer the Great.

There's a regular on a Catholic forum I hang out on, whose wife got him a Snuggie. Any chance to tease him about is now a running board joke among the regular posters.

I'll take a plain ol' throw blanket to curl up in when I'm reading or watching TV.

I thought the snuggie looked alright...

... until I saw people in the commercial wearing it out in PUBLIC.

A group of people on a floor in my dorm were causing quite a stir the other night - laughing quietly until there was a certain uproar coming out of the hall near the lounge where we were patiently sitting.

Being dilligent workers, we went and investigated only to find a collective of people surrounding two people wearing blue cloaks - snuggies.

I laughed my own asss off and walked away.
