Greetings, MxO, and long time no see. I've been on a bit of a hiatus for the last few months, and during that time I've been helping to produce a weekly radio-drama-esque production called Fan Fiction Mystery Theatre. Each week we take the worst best fan fiction that this series of tubes has to offer and present dramatic readings to our faithful listeners.

Now that the show has some experience under its belt, we felt it was high time that we produce a rendition of the work that first sparked our inspiration: The Matrix Return, by the worst writer ever acclaimed fan fiction author Peter Chimaera. As it was only through this community that I ever found this literary gem, I thought it only fitting that I return the favor for you all.

Huge thanks to Starschwar for first posting the link to the YTMND here several years ago. If it weren't for that, Fan Fiction Mystery Theatre never would've existed in the first place.

Good to see you, Stack.  Welcome back to the Matricks.

I can imagine something like this being written about MxO...

For some reason I imagined that line said in a jar jar binks fashion

Hey Stack, good to hear from you. Great stuff. Perfect Music / sound effects, really added to just how absurd the dialogue really was.

Sounds like a lot of fun, and if you need any godawful interesting Matrix fics to feature, I've got several classics that I've run across in my sojurns on the Pit of Voles fanfiction.net and other sites. Four words you might want to search for on FF.N: "Tango With An Agent"...

Side note: that Animorphs reading killed a significant portion of my childhood.  Still had a better ending than the actual series of novels, though.

Bwaha, well done.  I thought the voice acting was really good but the narrator needed more enthusiasm and less emphasis on the misspelled words.

Our narrator is generally within an inch of cracking up in laughter or cursing like a sailor at the absurdity of what he's reading, so it's as much as we can expect of him to do this much. And by our usual recording session standards, this one went much smoother than usual (especially considering we were taking a shot every time we goofed up >_>).

So I hear XD I never read them myself, so my knowledge of the series is limited to our own production.

It ended with a cliffhanger. Intentionally. With no plans to continue.  Hm. I certainly hope MXO doesn't wind up like that some day. I needz mah closure!

Hahaha that is so terrible, I couldn't even finish reading it I was laughing too hard.

#36300561104 05/31/2009 21:03:40 Re:The Matrix Return - Presented by Fan Fiction Mystery Theatre

That was just from reading it.. and then now after listening to it.. oh god. I could barely breathe and I was crying in hilarity and it was a good thing my flatmates weren't around because they would have been really concerned to see me like that.

Thanks a lot Stack, that was so funny it hurt and made me cry. :p

I've known about this for ages, but I just read it to my roommate who used to play.

We were in tears by the end.
