Returning player extremely confused.

Hey all, 

I originally played MXO from Beta to about 3 months after release and just reactivated my account.  Ive looked on the forums for guides but can't find anythign that helps, they all seem out of date.  My question is what is up with the combat system?  Theres no more selecting your attack style in close combat.  All i can seem to find is that the attack styles just give you buffs now and you auto attack.  is that right?  Do you no longer choose your attack type every move or do you just pick a buff and auto attack and occasionally use specials?

Essentially, the same queue-ing system for abilities and tactics is in place. The GUI, however, is gone to something more subtle: for tactics, instead of W A S D to pick the next round, you click the tactic on your hotbar, and then the relevant hit/miss is in system chat. For abilities, you click an ability on your hotbar, and it begins to blink (this is where it used to go into a box and wait). When the blinking stops, it turns solid red (where it used to move into the next box), and either flashes a green circle (you hit) or a red cloud (you missed).
