I'm interested to hear peoples opinions on how this is meant to be done? I'm not asking for a outright solution, just a open forum on collective ideas because without a doubt this is challenging. Granted there is a empty room before the final guy to teleport a team into but even then the 'Override Exectuable' just spawns too many guys to handle, we just had a team of 14 people varying loadouts and lasted less than a minute.

Ok, so I'm not quite sure on this but from when we were doing this, the NPC 's seemed quite resistant to viral attacks. Not to mention the the number of them just ment that when area hax hit they all go for that one player.

So, taking from experience of doing the Damiyo boxes I think we might need a large Interlock team.

Having said that we have should maybe 10 or so MA's (with the essential taunt ability) interlock the 55s and keep them in IL and taunted. Meanwhile there should be another 2 or 3 players one with MA (to IL the black guy), SMG for support and then heals. I know saying all of this is easy and in practice organising it is a nightmare but essentially its the only way I see that we can do it.

*sigh* As much as I appreciate the challenge content, and I know this is the sort of thing some players want, I hope what you get from this encounter isn't required to collect any of the items.

Should be interesting to see how other players come up with ways around this though.

I like this at least the people wearing the item you know have had to earn it... (Or pay an extortinate amount of info haha)

I like the fact we have to think of a solution etc. And I love the new head items... Very unusual. SMILEY

As long as you don't swarm in with all your chars all at once, which would undoubtley crash the server.

I was just thinking last night before I saw this thread... is there any way that Rarebit can create an NPC which encourages people to use Sims (Is encouraging sims needed? I would think that any half decent team of Proxy masters could take on pretty much anything). Much like the Ninja's encouraged people to use MA etc..

Obviously the Sims use one or two of the 4 damage types so adjusting the vulnerabilities on the NPC's won't cut it.

How about Sims automatically do Armor Piercing, which actually was undone with CR 2.0, but could do something similar (sims automatically have a single-downgrade on their target with -30/-30/-30/-30 base res (from lvl 50 sims, thus scales with sim level also influenceable by res % from player) , non-stackable (multiple sims no same target won't stack the res penalty) of course)?

That was the most fun I've had in what was essentially a full dungeon wipe.

I would like to point out I was the last man standing though.

It seems someone got carried away with this one. This best not be a trend with new content or we'll be losing what few players we have left. There's a stark difference between an entertaining challenge and an utter waste of time.

The idea behind an encounter like this is for people to get together and have fun working out how to take him down.

If you go around giving up or if you can't be bothered to try things out then you're only harming yourself.

I'm with Cadsuane on this.  I think Rarebit's trying to vary the style of encounter.  The wasteland corrupter or PB4 are examples of brute force by groups.   In this case, it seems like teamwork and a non-intuitive approach are called for.  I'm sure a standardized method for this will emerge in time.  It's definitely a surprise.

You know what I'd like to see?  Much harder quests, harder bosses with each coming subchapter.  Including the big boss.  I want big bosses that require at least 40 people per kill.

You mean something like in chapter 19.3 we'd have an Cheat-Code Override Zombie Assassin?
