I read that that guy said in Arabic (or Farsi), "A Farewell Kiss for you, Dog!"
Rofl! Epic.

Dern, I wish I could say something bad about Obama but then I'd get banned again.

Afghanistan = Farci (mostly)
Iraq = Arabic (mostly)

At least Bush still has reflexes though, that was kinda cool to watch.
Now there's going to be barefoot confrerences from now on, ugh. WTB Odor-Eaters for the press corps.

I like how Bush grinned has he dodged the first one, like "Ha, ha. gf."

haha i was thinking that too. Freakin hilarious!
hmm intresting just reading that this is actaully a major insult in the arab coulture this is from cnn
"A man identified as an Iraqi journalist threw shoes at -- but missed -- President Bush during a news conference Sunday evening in Baghdad, where Bush was making a farewell visit. In Arab culture, throwing shoes at someone, or sitting so that the bottom of a shoe faces another person, is considered an insult."
lol please someone make an epic YTMND Bush maneuver out of it.

Lol that would explain the "A Farewell Kiss for you, Dog!" comment. Its just so random and lolworthy

ManicV had the right idea with Neo Bush dodging a bullet Shoe in bullettime....too bad I cant even crudely photoshop anything or I'd have a go at the pic he posted

Rofl, that'd be awesome!
And I guarantee the Secret Service put a serious hurting on that guy.
I don't want to sound dumb but
Mr. President!! press Z or R twice!!!
Such a waste of good money. The cost of those shoe's could of fed a few children going without.

I think we should all be able to have a laugh at our President, regardless of where he/she stands politically. Although, as MarsNova said, this is actually a pretty serious thing despite the "lol gf" value.
Though interestingly enough, Muntadar al-Zaidi does look a lot like my dad.

<.<
As an ex-HS Cheerleader, I can tell you Bush had the moves!
He was a college cheerleader and it shows. So no, he wasn't fazed at all

See thats the spirit.
Dont get politics involved in this thread. It was a funny thing that happened. Hell even president bush thought so. Just look at the smirk on his face after the first shoe throw. I would have posted it as well if it was any other person or president or w/e.

That is the correct perspective, Operative. This is a classic Internet Meme. The only thing I worry about is reprots al-Zaidi of being beaten in custody and getting a long jail sentence. If I were the president, I totally wouldn't "press charges" as it were. I'd tell Maliki, "You gotta let this guy go. This was the classic case of gf, and it has too high a lulz factor for me to be angry at that dude. He gave me good lulz, so its Win."
