Haha! This thread should generate a few replies.

If by you mean movies that should have been cool after months of good hype then there is a few famous contenders on my list. Examples being:

Hulk: Trailer led us to believe this movie had a different kind of pace and feel to it but in my opinion ended up being rushed CGI and a lame final act that showed the awful CGI that this movie had. (Note: Enjoyed the reboot/remake earlier this year being a fan of Norton since his debut film 'Primal Fear'SMILEY

Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines: If you ask which movie I had generally been waiting all my days to see the all out Man vs. Machine conclusion after it's awesome predecessor this wins hands down. This movie should have been made late 90's with the original director and Arnold when he still actually had some box office number to his name. Also the sequel will not be 'Justice' either. As good as Christian Bale is this movie will be overshadowed by a hack director and no James Cameron attached. Should leave well alone.

Spider-man 3: Yeah. Me jumping on the hater bandwagon with this one but the haters ARE correct. Poorly executed storyline of Peter Parkers 'Dark Side'. As good an actor as Tobey McGuire is at times (Still think he is good for the overall role) he cannot potray a 'Dark Peter' to save himself. The so called 'Team Up' of former best pals at the finale just didn't convince at all.

Die Hard 4.0/Live Free or Die Hard: Love/Hate relationship with this one. One view is that Willis does look like he has a few punches left in him but it just wasn't McClane in the theatrical PG-13 release. Once a view of the R-Rated release and John McClane dropping some F-bombs and his signature line had it feeling like a Die Hard movie although missing some decent support cast.

Halloween (2007): This one is the all time on the hit list for me. Being a fan of the original and it being the all time 'Original' slasher movie you would think they would have done it justice using a fresh cast and an updated setting... well a fresh cast yes.. But the feel of 1970's friendly feel was missing here amongst other things. Malcolm McDowall is a good actor but Dr. Loomis here lacks the determination to keep Michael locked up like his 1970's counterpart. As for Michael himself since when did a Bart Simpson wannabe kid locked up for 20 odd years making masks EVER gain the build of someone who looks as though he could tangle with the best in a WWE ring? The original Myers was tall but medium normal build but many can argue the 'Evil' always helps Michael do the impossible of things but Rob Zombie clearly states that he is nothing more than your average nutjob from a poor, foul mouthed family. Didn't work AT all.

Thats five from me I guess and I know most of them are remakes/reboots/adaptations/sequels but all in all should have been better.

I urge people to come up with their 'letdown' movies this can be quite fun to see who replies

Resident Evil. I still find it appauling what Uwe Boll did to such a great story.

I'd actually have to agree with that whole list, and yes I've seen all the movies on there.  The one I agree most with would probably be Kingdom of Heaven, I don't think I've ever been more satisfied not finishing a movie since then...

Either way, though I'd be kinda butt-hurt, I have a feeling the up and coming GI Joe movie is going to make that list...
