General population

Everyone...

This is a message on the general population...I have been a meaber sence beta and sadly becouse of work Ive been called a way for a while, Im making a return andwhen I left for a bit the general population of the servers was down people leaving everywhere, and yet there was a flux of new people coming...and also with this recent update, adding movies back and suck I know that a few people have come back. I just want to get people thoughts on what they think with the population of red pills with in the matrix>>> is it weak, strong guesses on how many people...Do you remeaber when we first had access to the city after everything with neo...there was hundreds of new recruts mara C was packed 24/7 and now I dont see nearly as many people, sometimes this gets me down and is there anyone else feeling like this,  I just wanna know whats going on with the people here, has everyone I once known left and a whole new family moved in just much smaller or is it like the same size. I know I am not the only one that has seen people come and go from there lives. People slip in and out...friend leaving us and new one coming into our lives on a daily bases.

Am I the only on that see people being stight mean to ne people, I know I was treated badly on a few times and the new girl on the mara block. Its just that the matrix population seems bad enough unless anyone thinks otherwise??? Without some people being dicks...and even if the populkation and there are lots of people with in the city- it never hurts to have more people right???

Does anyone agree...What do people think, what do you think of the people here, and how many redpills are truly with us in the system.

What server did you have problems on?  I mean yes the population is way way much lower, but since there's much less of us we all tend to know each other more....so I think it might have been just that time that server, or someone thought you were someone's alt or something, I dunno.  I'm sorry you had a bad experience, I don't think it's the norm though.

No its ok, im over it, its more other new people new people we really need that I see getting treated badly that pisses me off that I act and yell at them...the only few times Id get made is when People take me for a guy like assume im a guy just becouse there are so many guys as girl RSIs out there....I AM GIRL!!!!! lmao....oh and I was talking about the syntax sever.

Let me guess... Mara C where people are PvPing. Just ignore them, you'll find a lot of great people regardless of affiliation.

Mind you from what I've seen, the PvPer's don't simply see a low level and start having a go, there could have been a misunderstanding in some way or, and I've seen this personally, a low level character who is an alt of someones on another server shooting their mouth off at Mara. It happens.

Yeah I cany immange its still roungh sometimes cuz I go to where there are people where I can be around people anyone cuz I feel really alone sometimes, I dont have many friends now that I came back alot of people have left...So I go to mara C, Where I know there will people, Will untill late where once and a while even mara C will be empty, and thats something that got me nervus, when even mara C is dead, in the middle of the day where it normally is or used to be back

Tabor West is a good place to hang out on Syntax. I'm usually just sitting around when I'm on. Everyone's pretty cool unless they're just RPing being an butthole(censors suck horribly). And how did that pass the censors and "double u, tee, eff" doesn't? O_O

One thing you've also gotta remember is the fact there is so much gear out there to farm now. For keeps or to sell, alot of people will still be doing the farming.

yeah thats true, and its also really annoying about the some of the chnges that have been made, like to the female GI, that really really pisses me off. And SOE said well it showed to much....which is crap, they didnt just come out of the blue after 2 or so years of owning the game and decided it showed to much, they would have done something alot faster then 2 years, and say it shows to much. Someone that probley doesnt even play anymore complained I bet. But thats off subject.

I know about farming trust me, Ive built my richs off selling people SSR gum, even though its alot harder now that they dont drop as much. Its just people on my friends list that I see getting shorter and shorter.

A few people I know left becouse they said people here were really closed minded, and Idk if I agree with that for everyone, I mean sure there are some that think that.

Ill just come out and say it, I am Bi, and I had a girl friend In game, and she was always so scaed on how people would react if ANYONE where to see u kiss in public, and one the one hand thats her being scaed and what have you but then theres a reason she thinks this. I mean I know shes not just coming up with this stuff, there has to be a reason so I said ok, well keep it secrat.

From my stand point, mxo has been left in the old folks home to die.

This game for 3 years has been awsome, but lately when you look at the otherall content and storyline based content it's like well can we have the rest of the story, just bring the 1 back and have one side win the game then either make the game free to play or just pull the plug, SOE has made it clear for 2 and a half years, MxO isn't their top of the list things to improve, we keep getting shafted and frankly, it sickens me, it might just be a game, but I for one have put alot of time and money into this game with nothing to show for it. The reason people are leaving mxo is because for the past year, all the devs have been worring about is content, not to much about the story, next year who is to say, I know the story is being archived through collectors and we only get 3 per what, 2 months? lmao it's a joke that the continuation of one of the most ground breaking movies is being treated like second hand trash.

The population is going away from this game, hell even me, someone that said I wouldn't leave this game even if there was no one left has to look back at that comment and say what the hell was I thinking. I don't want to leave mxo but the way it's going me and like 5 others will be pvping around mara c by ourselves for the next year. Where's the fun? Where's the story? I demand more cowbell and I demand it now kthxbai.

I agree, SOE got this game just to make them look good and that is crap, as the admins to the game the have a duty to do the best they can with it, for the people who have but alot of time and money into it. but instead the got it and drove it into the ground. this game had so much to offier so much they could do with it, but instead the decided they wanted to say there hards where tired becouse the code which is BS becouse the is SONY where talking about, if they really wanted they could figure something out. They took the game and just buchered it and after mxo I for one will have nothing to do with SOE for this reason and will boycot SOE in every way posable. They only reason Im still here is becouse I love MXO. This is the worst job I have ever seen of bussiness taking care of there product I have ever seen and it pisses me off so much.

I don't necessarily think that's true.  Afterall, how can you purchase a game to look good but never flaunt it or advertise for it?  That's like purchasing a Bentley but storing it in a garage and never showing it off. >_>

In the end, it is a shame that SOE hasn't invested more into this game but then again that was a concern for most of us the very moment Lith informed us of the transition.  However it's hard to satisfy some of us.  I think that even if MxO had 100% of SOE's backing, then there'd still be many of us disappointed.

It does make me wonder though where the fault lies in this tragedy.  SOE for not appearing to care enough or Lith for handing over a game wrought with "mainframe goblins"?  We always dream about "what could have been" but that's just in our nature.

The story has been and continues to be my main focus. Under the "new approach" it claims more of my direct development time than before. The success with which it is presented to different types of players is a hotly contested issue at the moment--and certainly the way it is being delivered has changed with the last update, and that does mean that it will be absorbed by players in a different way--but at any rate the underlying story is still there and will continue to be my primary focus.

Everyone on syntax should come visit recursion, that should fix the general population of not having a single soul on in mara c.

I agree the overall story is very very very important.

I can't believe after all this time and all that's happened you still do as much as you do, Rarebit.  I know I would have long-since folded had I been in your shoes.  I may not like what's happened (I don't) but really, I have to admire the fact you still pound away as hard as you do.  Kudos and cakes.

Rare, I'm not saying your new approch isn't good, I'm saying it seems more like the real fun in the game went with the weekly live events, I mean I haven't heard of any live events since the last update other then the org meetings and the party. Which btw I didn't even attend...

I agree with your method to give us content and story at the same time, however removing weekly overall interaction with the player base is a step in the wrong direction imo. I for one loved live events and even though I've only been to a handful of them during my time with mxo, the memories of them still made this game fun for me, the content is fine, pvp is fine, org meetings are fine but overall live events are really what should be looked at for next year. I know you guys have alot of stuff to do in short periods of time, however the story was the main reason why this game has been fun for me for so long, fighting ageinst npcs spawned from ubber powerful dev controlled charactors was the best and it really is sad that those days are gone. Or are they?

I see how you're guest style gameplay could help the game, but the live events still need to happen, missions cannot fully tell the story of something so complex as the Matrix. You need live events, devs, cool stuff happening all over the city, so inbetween pvp or farming we can have fun. Now it really only seems like pvp is all I have to look forward to, and the next great item to use in pvp, and to be honest, make more items that will help in pvp, more IS Regain items, more health regain, stuff like widows moor lenses or Sakura. But enough of my ranting, just my two cents, bring LE back, and more frequent.
