GCET never really took flight the way we hoped, Due to the premature launch because of us being to eager lol . So... I am going to post this thread as a possible relaunch of :

LARGE SCALE events (Trying to bring back the Lith days) , MINI Events, LIASIONS, The works.

BUT

I need keen players who want to make something of the lack of events.

If the interest isnt there or no Ideas brought to the table then this Thread will become NULL.

I am planning some things cool for the new year but need you guys help.

This is open to ALL INSTANCES!

I NEED: PEOPLE TO SIGN UP IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DEDICATE TIME TO WRITING STORYLINES AND EVENTS ETC AND ARE WILLINGTO FARM FOR PRIZES WITH ME ETC ETC.

This Team is for the players by the players.

SIMILAR to A:B but alot more simple.

Same name in game on recursion, i can do syntax and vector alts, but recursion i've got only slight usefulness.

Personally, I'd suggest nixing the liaisons. It only works when you don't know who's potentially playing them and it's too difficult of a system to maintain because you'll need a lot of people and then you'll inevitably have one or more persons who sign up then never login. Same issues that occured with LESIG.

I'm up for helping this thing out.  Mostly on Recursion as (you guessed it) GreyMountain.

I do have a Syntax alt I'm slowly levelling up but the name is staying quiet for the time being.

Send me a PM with what things you need done and I can tell you what I can and cannot do.

Yes in response to an earlier thread about Server coverage! This will be a big big thing and will cover all servers similar to the old Monolith events and The assassin events etc,

I'm in.  I'm Rip105 on Recursion, and I've started alts on the other servers but the still pretty low.

I'm very good with graphics but I can do any web develop work.

A rough list of positions we will need people in place for upon launch time if all goes ok.

• FORUM CREATORS - AND FORUM ADMINS TO KEEP IT UP AND RUNNING

Ok is there anyone out there who can create us a forum and manage it for us with the help of a couple of trust worthy admins for it?

We will need: Secure forums for DEVS to discuss the storylines etc that not everyone can see! (COZ THAT WOULD BE POINTLESS IF EVERYONE KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING?) lol

Also is there anyone who could start some kind of development of a website for this?

I am not the best so I am sure there are alot better out there. I think we need a very interactive one.

I have seen some very flash orienated ones for factions which i think would fit the bill.

Please can you guys start throwing some storyline ideas at me in PM's ready for the forum etc.

I feel I'd be best suited as story-writer.  I could probably do a forum and the admin side but I don't have the web-tools or facilities available to host or run one.  Not unless you include the various free ones going around.

do we have a forum yet? I've come up with a new idea, but I want to know we're doing this before sending it in.

Maybe it would be helpful within this thread to reanounce the liasons still active. Could come up with more ingame people contact GCET with ideas/help.

/sign. I could do event co-ordination, and bringing things together. I also have available spaces on all three servers, but my main is RejectKnowledge on Syntax - EPN.

I am willing to buy us hosting space, and get us a URL too - but the question is who will run the boards? I think you should check out Joomla - they're quite good, especially with their new built-in CMS.

As for the website, I don't think we need a flash-heavy website. Our beginning should be simplistic, with just enough room to post information on current events, synopsis of previous events, announcements of team members and new events. Check out the Tetragrammaton faction site (forgot the link). Good clean design, and all the information is easily available.

I've done websites before, but I really don't have the time nowadays to tinker with it anymore =(

I say led the 'admins' start another thread purely regarding the discussion of a website. If not a thread, then a 'mailing list' for now, because you need to discuss it at length before anyone can produce anything tangible. Questions you should ask:

1. What information do I want to display on the front page
2. What information do I want to FOCUS on, on the front page
3. How many pages do I want the website to be
4. What different categories (links) will I be creating
5. How will I present the event information (text, paragraphs, images) - this is necessary to create a post template

...and so forth.

So yeah - regroup, brainstorm, get an idea up first and enhance on it later. Just make sure that your planning encompasses what you're doing now and what you're hoping to do in the future too, so the site can accomodate that. And when you've got that I'd be happy to pay for the domain name, and hosting space.

I could also be a web designer as i know a way how to host domains for free (no not freewebs or anything like that), but i do not have a lot of knowlage on how to create a web site apart from that i could use photoshop for most of it, and you do the rest with dreamweaver and convert it to CSS.

Up to you, if not then i kinda also wanna do event co-ordination or whatever it's called , looks like a lot to me haha, i can understand if positions are filled already

Not as yet. I am no web wizard currently using a guild portal site.

Any help from the webmasters and volenteers would be great.

Also need a forum set up with designated admins. Noone has come forward yet...

ok, I can probably set up some space on one of my servers for the site.

Any files would have to be sent to me though as it is not set up for webadmin.

Has anyone stepped forward yet to help with the forums?

I am not an expert but we do need a forum for this group.
