So it's like the Hyperspeed after-image but lasts a bit longer?

That's actually pretty kewl.  Will get.  SMILEY

Hee, trippy! Thinking about this one, but that's only because I've got so much else to take care of first...

#36300519674 11/12/2008 15:45:18 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

Interesting. I wonder how it'll look in combat.

#36300519684 11/12/2008 16:10:39 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

Oooh, that's neat.

"Players will be able to turn in the completion tokens for all of the archived chapter 11.1 and 11.2 missions, plus the first 11.3 mission ticket for their organization"

So, that means we still won't get to run the 11.3 missions for other orgs right?

#36300519693 11/12/2008 16:46:36 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

Hmm.. pretty cool idea.  Definitely worth picking up, especially with the lower requirements than the old visual effects.

#36300519696 11/12/2008 16:52:26 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

Ooo thats pretty neat! I'll think about it

#36300519697 11/12/2008 16:55:47 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

Its cool, but not my cup of tea.

If thats the case, I wont be happy about that.  Archives for the three should be accessible for all levels.  Just dont have them drop override bits and accellerated pens and scale by level like any other archive mission.  Besides, this will be the first time that an archive will be available while the criticals (quests) will be still available too.  Doesnt seem logical to restrict the achives.

I do like. Don't see the purpose, but cool.

Have archive awards ever had a purpose other then to be awesome?

Interesting... Would have preferred an overidden overlay but interesting nontheless. Like Star, I'd like to see how it works in combat!

What they said.

The effect is pretty awesome but if new missions arn't gonna get Archived, it'll be a huge dissapointment.

:S Different I will give it that....

Ahh what the hell I will end up farming it anyhooos!

Keep the new stuff rolling in heh!

#36300519965 11/13/2008 15:29:31 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

Well why have an "archive" of missions that are always available? If they're static you can always do em anyway having a playable version of the missions kinda sounds silly in that case. I'd also like to see them playable later on for every level but hey at the way its looking and the lack of response i got from my other thread i guess it wont be like that.

I'd do them to be able to access the other org's storyline missions.  I wouldn't allow them to be used for farming, though.  And, I'd keep them Downtown.  That way you can try with your lowbie, but do so at your own risk.

#36300519969 11/13/2008 15:38:37 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

By "Archived" I mean opening up the other Org's missions. I get that they're already constant and repeatable. It'd just be nice to experience the story from all sides again instead of just reading it here on the forums.

Sounds fair to me.  And you'd have to run 9 missions per subchapter instead of three (3x3).  Those with 3 50's, in each org, get the content immediately, the rest of us have to wait, which is fine.

#36300519989 11/13/2008 17:10:28 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

Kinda reminds me of when you lag out and the hyperspeed effect stays behind and shows a skeleton type effect.

#36300520052 11/13/2008 23:26:27 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

I'll farm it just because i want to do the 11.2 missions.

It is the same origin (Hyper-speed code origins from the player skeleton and then makes circles), only it doesn't use orange code, but white Override dots.

#36300520072 11/14/2008 02:05:10 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

I wonder what the update rate of it is? The screenshot shows a person activating it and being able to face it 3 seconds later, so does it refresh every 4-5 seconds? It would be interesting to see if two people activated it just before a duel!

#36300520797 11/17/2008 02:54:19 Re:Image Retrieval - November 12, 2008

I'd really like it if we could have a discusson with Rare (or at least a reaction) about the possibility to archive the 11.3 quests. I guess it's obvious that a lot of players support the idea to get them archived without the quest-related loots...
