just bought game from direct2drive, cant get it to work

i am using the direct2drive download manager, i diwnload the MXO.exe setup from there .. press play as instructed it downloads a matrix icon to my desktop i lick on that launcher comes up ... enter my account info .. then freezes on authenticating

getting fristrated seein as how direct2download tells me there are no refunds and i cannot play the game

Are you using a personal firewall?  Besides the windows firewall?

Sometimes/Most times... that is the problem, you have to allow launcher.exe out.
