I assume you meant 4pm PDT. SMILEY Remembering that the US is still on DST (aside from some non-conformist regions) and Europe is back to normal.

4pm PDT
5pm MDT
6pm CDT
7pm EDT
11pm GMT
12am CET

PST = Pacific Standard Time.

Yes, I know. It isn't in effect until November the 2nd.

#36300514473 10/27/2008 13:13:36 Re:Trick or Treat - October 29th, Polyvinyl

Iv never heard anyone refer to them as EDT.. its always EST, PST so on. to each their own I guess.

#36300514481 10/27/2008 13:37:21 Re:Trick or Treat - October 29th, Polyvinyl

I should be able to make it, not 100% yet though.

Well, no. There's a standard in place, and people should follow it. SMILEY

It's PST etc. in the winter months and PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) etc. during the summer, while the US obeys Daylight Savings Time. It's two sets of timezones: the different regions flit back and forth between them during the course of the year.

If you want to be general and say 'the time in this region' you'd call it 'Pacific time', etc.

PST != Pacific time
Pacific time = PST in winter, PDT in summer

#36300514520 10/27/2008 14:46:46 Re:Trick or Treat - October 29th, Polyvinyl

That's why I stick with saying "Pacific Time," myself. Hm actually I don't specify time zone at all if I can help it. =p

#36300514537 10/27/2008 16:04:45 Re:Trick or Treat - October 29th, Polyvinyl

Well, this may be my chance...

I should be there.

The Harm in educating people? Well, when the person attempting to educate, doesn't know everything, it can be rather pointless and annoying.

You on the other hand are sounding almost like Tesma was wrong to say what she is used to saying. Just because you have a different way of looking at something doesn't give you the right to subject people to the "Standards" you follow. Next time, don't semi-flame/snap on someone who doesn't follow your standards or logic.

#36300514750 10/28/2008 02:31:40 Re:Trick or Treat - October 29th, Polyvinyl

*Sighs.* This will be my last post on the subject. I didn't mean for the thread to get derailed like this, but it seems people do like to make a meal of what I say on occasion. I should be flattered they pay so much attention to it.

What's that supposed to mean? Doesn't know everything? I know how timezones work, thank you very much.

It's not a different way of looking at things, it's not a standard I follow. What I have described are the official timezones, the rules followed internationally by any organisation that does business across timezones. Go and look them up if you don't believe me; there are certainly enough pages on the subject.

And I never snapped at Tesma. I have every right to snap at you, though.

Shame that people rarely take their own advice.

However, thanks to Procurator who pointed out the change in timezones, I have now been able to adjust my schedule so I can turn up on time!

That was a fun party last night. I enjoyed the little hunt, even though it aggrevated me hehehe but was still fun!

Grats to those who ended up finding the horsie person at the end!

#36300515694 10/30/2008 07:34:04 Re:Trick or Treat - October 29th, Polyvinyl

The party was a complete bust...

If Catzi wasn't there to play clean up, it would have been a complete loss.

Catzi FTW

Fallout 3 came out unfortunately.

Suddenly I lost track of what day it was for a good 3-day period.
