Cool, this is an hour after work is finished.

Looking forward to it, and good luck LESIG.

In retrospect, I should have spent those 2 hours leveling instead. The scavenger hunt aspect was cool. The "treats," not so much.

What were the rewards?

#36300514594 10/27/2008 19:24:13 Re:Trick or Treat - October 27th, Club Sphinx
The searching for bluepills part was very fun. A shame I only managedto find three of 'em.

I'd like to know 'bout the final rewards too actually. Anyone sharing the information?

1 SSR gum, 1 smith firewall candy, 7 anniversary cookies, 6 smith rage pills for those that completed the entire quest. The "winner" got 10 of each pill and a blue sky hat/shirt.

The thing is that the attendence was practially nonexistent, and those of us that bothered to show up... well I can't speak for everyone, but I know at least 75% of the people there have a ton of rage pills, cookies and such we've farmed over the years. I have several hundred from Brewko trivia alone. Many players have in the past noted that these "prizes" were completely worthless to players who already had them, when they were given out as endings of Machine events as a substitute for perpetuals or FM1500s. I don't see why LESIG thinks they'd be popular now, and I saw many people who apparently shared the same opinion as me tonight going "boo I don't want your smith rage pills" in area chat, in addition to the conversations I was having with friends.

I'm not being negative for the sake of being so, but I hope LESIG at least read this feedback because I know several people who feel the same way.

Yeah, I would tend to agree. I understand the fairness aspect of giving them to everyone at machine events, and thats swell, but I'd say the market has been well and truely flooded with them now and their value, both in selling and keeping, has depreciated on VECTOR at least, oh and a year and a 8 months of no opportunities to win the prized weapon of the machinists is a little long.

Returning back to the topic at hand, I was a little annoyed I missed the start by an hour due to forgetting that daylight savings affected Mega City Time. Hopefully I'll catch one of the other servers events.

My hats off to Dreami and LESIG's who attended this event.

I do not want to be negative towards them, but I would have expected some more involvement from the dev team... I use team loosely as it appears to only be Ben "Rarebit".  I am saddened by the lack of Halloween involvement as in years past Halloween was "The EVENT" for us.  I was so looking forward to this years events for halloween, and now find myself reluctantly logging in out of habit.  I'm afraid this is closing a chapter in my characters development.

Thanks for the effort Dreami, I would have contributed to the prize pool had I known MXO wasn't going to.  I have been known to add some really nice prizes to other peoples events.

Sadly,

Strykre01

I'd have to agree with you there. Couldn't turn up last night, but it does seem that the same things are being given out everytime.. i generally throw mine straight in my email and watch them stack up.

This isn't the first time i've heard this.. i mean we use the black pill? (smith rage pills) on every recruit, Which kinda says it all. Don't get me wrong, its really great we have these events and as for LESIG i'd like to give a big hand there.. but i hope you'll review these posts and throw us a bone or 2 next time
