How long has this game been in development for btw?
It was officially announced in Oct. 2007 I think. I'm guessing it's been in development for at least 3 years now.

We still don't know when Bioware is going to release the game..As for a web site,take a look at the official one!
Ok, so whats everyone's opinion on this Trooper class? Everyone's going on saying its a Republic only class because of the details they put with the pictures of it and the Sith have Bounty Hunters to counter it or whatever. Isn't kinda stupid to only let one side use a trooper class?

They should nerf it...O_o
On a serious note,Trooper looks very powerfull.I think we'll see a lot of them!I can't say that I like the idea of not being able to use a class just because I'm Republic/Sith!I guess we'll see how it works out.

Agreed but I wouldn't be surpsied if they came somewhat close on high detail. I have to say though it was funny listening to the idiots on g4 go on about not being sure if it was gameplay or cinimatic footage.
the trailer from the EA conference was good and all but the thing that really blew me away was when they said that it was going to be fully voiced

My name on the TOR forums is 'Terracus', and has been for some time.
A few of us are also in an Old Republic IRC most days, too.
For any news coverd at e3 here's a thread on the ToR forums following it for any that dont' check their forums daily.
Not much of a demo by IGN.
Gamespots was also bleh, as was G4's. Aparently the demo that is being shown is only being shown to those at e3 and the public wont see it for awhile.

I'm there...can't remember what I signed up as though...their support already sucks though.
The account my real email is tied to won't let me login for some reason and after 3 attempts to contact their website support, I got no response and had to create a new ****ing address just to be able to access the forums.
The guys in PN and I have had a few months worth of discussion on whether we should go Jedi or Sith over there... and don't get me wrong, Sith looks very appealing. Not to mention that it would be a nice change of pace from trying to play the good guys all the time.
Unfortunately, from the research I've been gathering, it looks like there's going to be a sh*t ton of Sith. So, based on that, I've made the decision that we're going to end up going Jedi (granted, there'll most likely be Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, etc. in our guild). That being said, for TOR we'll be taking on the guild name of "The Golden Order."
And yes... the "Golden" bit is a reference to our time as EPN. 
I was going to be Outlaw or some variant of Outlaw...but those were taken...so my forum name on TOR is SgtOutlaw...I will try to get Outlaw as the ingame name, lol.
I am trying to signup for the forums but can't think of a good name...
Still this will probably be the next game I play hard core, although i'm looking at FE too.
Well been looking at this game for abit now and have joined the forums .. im Qsephus for the TOR if anyone wants to bud me lol

That's sexy. I've been debating on going Sith or Jedi myself. I may go with both at the start.

I doubt there'll be more Sith than Jedi, or other good guys. I've yet to see a game where evil outnumbers the good.

So true. Being "evil" is way to much fun. I agree. I was just worried about the Jedi:Sith ratio. I definitly want it to be more Jedi than Sith. Makes things a lot more interesting. I already know Sith will be way more enjoyable than Jedi.
