Theres no buff for data tapping. Am I right? I request a buff be made and encorperated into clothing for data tapping. Cuz what i hear from most people, they really hate when they fail, but no buff exsists to improve your chances. so yea, create clothing for data tapping...

I agree.

I would have agreed until DataMine came out. Makes the people that don't play and only farm much more richer. You want to mine, you need to deal with fails. In DM you can still make about 8 mill in 15 mins. No need for less fails.

But if yous really want gear...

faction v faction (6 v 6) in datamine. Need to win x amount of fights SMILEY

lol Getting the amount from taps in Datamine and the chance of getting them is enough.

I'm on the fence on this myself: I data mine a *LOT* -- usually when I'm just chatting with people, I have the goggles activated and I hit the tap when my hands aren't busy typing -- so I could see the benefits. However, it's more realistic to keep things as they are, so that you don't get too overpowered as a miner.

I guess really nobody thinks about the lowbies, eh? I for one, support this.

Its already capped at 50 points. All they need to do is remove that cap. It should be at 55 points anyway with the full tree.

i think i would like too see a little tool too go in that cd spot for taping bonuses, lowb do definatly need a little help as for being 50 i think its just fine, 30 minutes in dm = 30 mill for me but i dont go there for the real rewards

I've been wanting to say something phor a long time about this.  I just didn't want to be the phirst to bring it up. SMILEY

I think it would be very benificial to us serious data miners to have 'something' available, to increase the probability of a successful tap in (or out) of Datamine.  Phailing 15 taps in a row... and often... is very phrustrating, and this happens with or without the lug.

So, yes... I think it's a worthy idea. SMILEY

The more I think about it, the more I like this idea, at least for the low-levelled RSIs. I just started data mining on Sieges's brother and I'm having a bear of a time with it.

Yeah for level 50's there defo should not be any clothing available. If your wanting mad amounts of info, you need to fail or your just getting it all in your lap. I made just over 20 mill in half an hour there. Yesterday someone made over 400 mill in DM on vector. Make the rich richer and make lvl 50 gears soar up in price, no thank you.

I agree that DM should be a bit more lowbie friendly. It isn't till about lvl 45 that you can tap the whole area. Before that your only confined to 2 small spaced which tend to already have been cleared due to info farmers. I would be all for clothing for lowbies but lvl 50's should not be able to wear them.

Even at 45 you fail 95% of the area.

Speaking as a lowbie still, yeah still, I get about 20% fail:success ratio.  I think it's fine the way it is tbh.  With the lug I get about 100k per tap, and 45k per without.

I don't know about 50, but at 48 that's a pretty good yield to save up for my clothing at 50.

There used to be clothing with buffs for it.  They took them out, doubt they'll put them back in.

I think just removing the data tapping cap (Which is equal to the player's level) would work. Heck, I think they should get rid of all the caps, but that's an idea for another time.

I nominate the actual data node locator goggles (yes there is a wearable model), if there is ever an item of clothing that gives a bonus to data mining, provided the cap is removed of course.

I remember saying when datamine came out that it was unfair to people lower lvls and was told to quit crying. What a difference a few months makes. There is only 2 spots in the whole place for anyone under lvl 40 and you dont get crap for info. And thats only if the farmers and level 50's leave the nodes there for you as they tend to tap those areas since its such a high success rate there. But I agree that some clothes, book, tool for lowbies would be nice.  A version of the prison mastery device for datamine would work well.

one problem with only wanting it for lowbies is, it cant happen... there only lvl restrictions for buffs for those above a level and not below. So if high lvls cant get buffed clothing for data mine, theres no way lobies will...

Unless you leave the data apping points cap in place, since 50s already have that maxed, so only lowbies would get a useful difference from the clothing.

ah. yea, thats true huh...

then i request a removal of the cap and put in the clothing. then everybody wins... or not?

I agree.
