With the amount of money hes throwing around hes probably paid for it.

Yeah, I was thinking that.

The amount of cash to assemble all that, what a waste. D:

That guy has more characters than all of MxO

I can think of much more self-destructive things he could be doing with his time and money, which sadly are more common than not.
If that's how he wants to spend his free time and his hard-earned cash (I assume he works for a living) hey, he ain't hurting nobody. And there ARE gamer chicks out there who see a rig like that and will stare in awe. Not quite as sexy as a Corvette .. but ......

Edit: Wonder how many people spend twice as much money *solely* on A/V to watch football? Just sayin ..

Are botters allowed in WoW? I mean, most MMOs ban botters because of various reaons and I'm sure he can't coordinate 32 accounts at the same time with just 4 keyboards and 6 mice.

It's something to do with using a third party program to run macros on all his PC's at the sametime. or something or other.

And with his hardware hes running 3-4 accounts per PC minimized.

He isn't botting.

Macros.  It's called mutliboxing.  It's been done since UO.

Well, he can't be too crazy. He's got two of the same monitor as me, so at least he has taste.

LOL you guys all on your high horses "blah blah get a life / laid / go outside"

When you're next logged in do /play.

SEE THAT? YOU ARE A NERD TOO.
90% of the people who read this will have a level 50 character in MxO, but are bored and trolling the forums.
Meanwhile that guy is leveling his billionth character, not bored, having fun doing what he wants to be doing.

Half you people would spend more than enough time to level that many characters in MxO if you wanted to.
This guy probably has more money than you. You're probably not in a position to do what he's doing. Grounds enough to rag on him?

Most of you don't understand how pain-free and effective leveling can be in WoW. Most of you won't have one or more level 70 characters.
Keep telling yourselves you're not as nerdy as that guy is, if you believe it hard enough it just might be true.

Mr. 5k doesn't feel the need to have to justify himself on a gaming forum.

-Edit- I just noticed you have 7000+ posts and 3 years of MxO under your belt. Rofl.

While I don't condone it to be that excessive. His hobby is no worse or better then an (american) football fan that video tapes every game of their favorite team and watch them repeatedly, spending thousands of dollars on merchandize, buy a huge television, a comfy chair that has a little table to place snack food on, one of those beer hats, and just watches the sport every day all day. Those that don't understand their connection to the hobby will often see it is as werid or unusual. And with out actual facts on "Bradster" you can't realy make any claims on his actual life, for all you know he could have been maried in which his wife died due to some cause, and then he attached himself to something that he could fill a void with. Yes it can be labled an addiction but it's nearly impossible to be an enthusiest with out also being labled as an addict.

and on a side note....He has all those computers, screens, gamming mouses, and what not and he still uses that crappy chair?

From the Yahoo News article
And despite the downturn in the economy, Prepared can't wait to get his hands on the upcoming Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.
"I plan to be at the store when it opens and will purchase 36 copies of it. With tax, it should be about $1500 for all of them."

Can you imagine running 36 installs and then patches??? He must have those things churning all night long, every night, just to keep them all up to date!

Well technically he has to install/patch 11 of them, as there are 11 computers. That said, that's still a lot of time spent patching!

$1500 / 36 = $41.67 yep that sounds more accurate ..
So yes, that's 36 versions of WoW distributed across 11 machines to install and patch. I can't imagine trying to patch more than one copy at a time, for the time some of these things take to download. Imagine having 11 machines fighting for bandwidth at the same time??
Gotta wonder what his monthly internet bills run him ..

Well yeah, he obviously needs 36 copies of the game so he can activate 36 accounts and run 36 characters at once, but he doesn't need to install 36 times. That's all I was saying before. SMILEY

I saw that exact article on yahoo tech. I just want all that he has in his setup. Or at least the cash for all that. I hate dual clienting MXO let alone trying to figure all that out. I got to give him credit for being able to control all that.

But all those monitors etc would make a nice LAN room for friends etc. Lots of cash spent on all that. I would like to know what he does for a job though. Intrigued to know if hes like Kevin Smiths character in Die Hard with a vengeance or not.

side note...  he just needs the keys from all 36 copies to upgrade. As each and every account needs one in WoW. Unlike MXO where one install your good to go. He can download the patch while playing with their background downloader. So no need to sleep while patching.  And the guy who owns the account is named PREPARED its not Bradster.
