((This is a Player Event run by me that may or may not become something that people will enjoy - the idea is to put an extra dimension to the PvP around the city and eventually find out which organization that get most areas in the city under control. There's 15 areas in Richland. Three of these areas cannot be claimed by any organization as they're staging points and home to the Archives. Now the last 12 can be claimed by conquest.
The rules are rather simple for now but will, if this catches on, become something we all can discuss and elaborate on more as different scenarios can probably be played out.
Factions that would like to participate will need to contact me through their factionleader and when two (or more) have done so we can arrange a battle for an area of Richland - rules will use 1 luggable to simulate data or whatever being a flag, one team will be attacking and the other team will be defending the location. Both teams will have as their objective to protect their luggable.
This is so cool. I would love to be able to do this on Syntax. I posted some thoughts about PvP Battles HERE but it would just be cool to let the city be the battle field and have everyone go at it. I would be interested in talking to you about how you plan to do this.
Check up on Steelle's post this could really catch on to be something that could work on all servers and factions would again their names meant something as only factions could participate. maybe with 1 or 2 extras on team if they can't get a full team but I'd say 60% of the team need to be from one faction to regarded as a "faction assignment"
So which factions would like to participate in this? Please sign up with name and factionleader. Roy, times will be when we'll be able to attend So your guess is as good as mine. Of course it would be nice maybe to have a set day for it? Like some mmo's got raids planned? Just a thought... you know what game I talk about....
We'll probably need some Zone Marshals present to keep track of the time that each group got control of the luggy in their respective zones. The idea is for each team to have a zone, floor whatever and keep the luggy in that zone for 10 minutes and the time is cumulniative so if you have 2 minutes and then lose it you get it back and get to hold it 8 minutes it's 10. Tha'ts the idea anyway, thoughts, ideas?
Alright we're (me and Steelle) just discussing a few technical things right now and we've agreed that there's going to be at least one Marshall there (Um.. I guess that's going to be me on Vector )
So right now there's factions signed up for participation already.

Alright! I think we're about ready to try this out, you know me! No time to waste! We're going to be using a luggable for this, it's going to be one that is visible for everyone so it's going to be either that insane sounding bomb pet or the purple haze, personally I would go with the haze. No Master Shadow in this event either -.- sorry but we all know how fun that abil is around Mara Central - let's keep it there. Any factions got time today? I'm down as Coordinator if two factions can set up a team for tonight! Monday 13th that is... I guess it doesn't matter who starts and you can pvp for any area you want, I see some fights over Mara Central already
Sounds great Syn. just need to organize an 'official' date and time' and I would say promote it a week before the actual event? less? See this is a great situation where 'org emails' would be grand!!!!
Okay - let's get this started. First two factions that post here and can fight tonight or tomorrow night (around 2-3 PM MCT - ehm.. I do need sleep) with a 6 man team fights for an area (this thread is sort of like Vogts HvCFT battles thread I guess . It's that simple for now =)
All builds are allowed (except master shadow) and a luggable detector build on each side is probably a great help
If it isnt too late, Libertas Preliators would also like to take part in this, oh and like TT i want to observe how this works before i go head on into anything.

As far as I have been able to gather there will be a Zion team ready tomorrow Sunday 19th representing Twisted Titans at 2 pm MCT. Is there a team of Mervs or Machs available for a challenge?
Ra2za and Jordp92 will be setting up the next part of the event as they'll choose a HQ zone. When you've decided which district I'd like to get a tell ingame or a PM on the boards about where as I will of course notify Manatik and DE about the district they need to set up their HQ in. The event will then be a capture the flag event where each team will need to hold the flag in their zone for 10 minutes - yes the time adds up like 4+5+1 minute still equals 10 in the end as it's pretty naive to think one team will hold on to it for 10 minutes straight but... one never knows.
Well all didn't go to plan tonight but i think thats just generally a case of people not understanding exactly what we had to do and people having to leave etc. But this really seems promising, i'm sure after a few runs of this, it will turn out to be great looking forward to it.
