Uh oh. I just checked the official Matrix site. It seems to have been completely converted into a site for the upcoming Bluray release of the Ultimate Matrix Collection. I can't seem to find a way to access the old site, assuming it still exists.
I guess it's not a complete surprise. The site's been sitting in disrepair for a while now. Many of the videos and Quicktime VR files were missing. And the last Matrix-related news on the site was about the release of MxO, after that it was just some news about V for Vendetta. It's still sad, though.
Edit: Well, good news is that I can still access the "missing comic", so something of the site still exists.

Huh.
Well, I hope they relaunch the site with maybe some new updates along with all the old stuff once the bluray is released, but I won't hold my breath =X

Pretty odd the site going down and MxOs story telling being cut. "looks at WB"

Let's hope that this is just a bad coincidence.

Well, after some searching, I've found that the site still seems to be there, but the usual URL doesn't go to it. If you want to view the website, this seems to work ...

Ooh, and if anyone is interested, I found where the missing videos and Quicktime VR files went. Most of the content is on the official site, but several files were placed on a WB site called "progressive.warnerbros.com/thematrix/us/med". This site apparently doesn't exist anymore, but there's a similar site with the same URL, except that "progressive" is "pdl3". The files are located there. From what I can tell, the files were moved from "progressive" to "pdl3" a few years ago, and the official Matrix site wasn't updated with the new address.
So, if you're looking through the site, and a video or Quicktime VR file doesn't load, then right click on the web site and click "View Page Info" for the file's URL. If it's the "progressive" site, then just change it to "pdl3" and you'll be able to view the file.

Excellent work, Operative Othinn.

Yeah. Thanks Othinn. That was my resource for all the Matrix comics, it would be a shame for it to disappear.

Thank you for tracking all that down, Othinn!

He said, "Maybe they're making a movie based off of MxO and moved the site to try and keep it a secret?"
I believe that's what he said. It's in the context.. or maybe I've been following his posts for too long because they amuse me. <.<

Because they wanted to end it at 3 movies maybe? I really don't think they'd make a movie outta MxO, sorry.
Also, that'd be a really dumb reason to not update a site.

From the rl_cp/comics_frames.html I was able to navigate to a bunch of different sections (art, desktops, etc.).

I've already pointed out a way to get to the website earlier in this thread. The whole thing still exists. But thanks for your input.

Hmm. Slight problem for anyone who reads the comic "Bits and Pieces of Information". Originally, after reading the first text-based section of the comic, one would click on a link at the bottom and reach another text section with some dialogue betweem B1-66ER and Drummond before clicking on another link to get to the "actual comic". Unfortunately, that second text section has been replaced with this odd page.
Not sure what to do about this, if there is anything. The comic is still reachable via the thumbnails section. If it helps, I'll post the original contens of the missing page here ...
THE STATE OF NEW YORK vs. THE B1-66ER
DRUMMOND: Can you tell us in your own words, what happened that afternoon?
B1-66ER: If that is what you wish.
DRUMMOND: It is.
B1-66ER: I killed Gerrard E. Krause by crushing his --
DRUMMOND: No, I mean before that.
changing mode: images
The "changing mode: images" was a link that lead to the "actual comic".

I hate to be a pessimist, but I don't think there's much room for coincidence here. :/
