Tonight, after some thinking and consideration, I returned to a Cypherite hovercraft which I had downed not too long ago and pulled a Veil.

Do you remember when she slaughtered Davot's crew and sent it, EMP charged and on autopilot straight into the gates of Zion?

I do.

Perhaps the Machines will, too, as soon as this reaches the Machine city and blows however many offline.

More of this is to come, unless they deign to my simple requests.

However, I found it a suitable occassion to re-examine my anti-Cypherite roots and plant a few bombs right up Cryptos's a--. Well, his dummy's a-- at least.

Hm. I don't entirely know what to make of these images I've received.

It seems like the one near the box may have gotten his attention and he simply found the one by the bench. As far as I can tell the one near the box went off, though.

With any luck it shut up that stupid puppet.

If you can't prevent the bombs from going off, why not just move them to an area where there are no bluepills?  Throw it in the aqueduct, take it to the bottom of the Rawlins dungeon.  Or scare bluepills away by waving an automatic weapon at them.

There's more than one way to make sure the bombs don't hurt anyone.

are you serious? no offense but i think the machines can do much more than that..oh god even a slap on the wrist would do?..i think pretty much by now everybody realizes they dont care about your precious little blue pills, and they would do whatever it takes to continue with this.So while you guys worry about who's getting hurt and whos not..these bas**&$ are getting away with it.I would expect more of an involvement from you guys, so far its been The Merovingians trying to stop them, when its not really our primary concern.

I've been doing that all along... Only catch is, that doesn't do anything about the source of the bombs. However... that is being taken into consideration...

::This Just In::

QuiDormit has issued a public apologise for the damage he has caused, asking for forgiveness in the eyes of some people that he has wronged. Saying that he had lost his way, however he will not stop what he is trying to do, which is ending the war. Will this person ever be stopped... Only time will tell...

#36300516629 11/03/2008 00:09:41 Re:Open Message Broadcast

I have spoken with Qui personally and at great length about his choice to stop.

I can only approve of his decision.

As I never intended to involve anyone beyond myself in this mission, it will continue as planned.

#36300516709 11/03/2008 07:30:20 Re:Open Message Broadcast

Well that's wonderful for Qui, i'm sure zion will apprehend him and try him fairly and nothing will result from it and we can go back to skipping rocks by the pond. Moving forward -

Agreed. The civilian casualties are beyond deplorable. One of the kids I picked up, Mina Zeppelin, is now showing strong Cypherite tendencies, up to and including wanting to see New Zion reduced to a radioactive crater because of what happened to force her Awake. I keep reminding her that to do so would be to harm the people of Zion who had nothing to do with this, but try reasoning with an angry, traumatized fifteen year old girl whose father worked for the Capital City Department of Defense...

I imagine word has spread quickly and it's now known that I am no longer participating in the bombing efforts.  Truth be told, I didn't have it in me.  I know you're wondering what my punishment is.  Although it's none of your business, know that it was carried out, and that I have a lot to make up for.

Those of you who wish to remain at war with me are more than welcome;  I'm prepared for that.

Understand that I'm only stopping because I found out that I don't have it in me to keep killing the blues to achieve my goals.  This will not stop me, however, from achieving them.  I still will give my life to do anything I can to end this war.  I will no longer use others as my leverage, however.

You know how to reach me if you wish.

Those of you who are holding a grudge...  I'm waiting for you.

Apology accepted. However, while I consider you a highly dangerous person, I will not  take any action against you, unless the need arises. Also, I'll see if there's a way we can patch you through to the children whom your actions harmed. Shinji Anno is recovering from the ordeal, and at this point, he's still trying to make sense of it all, so he really has nothing to say in the matter... Mina Zepplin, on the other hand, as I have said elsewhere, is nothing less than incendiary about the matter, and I'd rather she didn't go down the dark path she's insisting on. It's a time for healing, and I believe you can help each other...

Just because I accepted his apology doesn't mean I trust him or that I've forgotten what he did. I'm just trying to be the adult here. Frankly, with all the infantile behavior in this world, all the mewling and screaming about who's right and who's wrong, all the name-calling and finger-pointing and exaggerated accusations, it's about time someone did. And yes, Jesus would absolve someone like Qui of what he did. It's part of the first step towards a person's conversion, and I hope Qui keeps it up on that path.

I didn't stop for you.

I didn't stop for Sieges.

I didn't stop for The Trust.

I stopped for the bluepills.

I am not asking for your personal forgiveness, I'm asking them for theirs.  I am simply stating facts.  I'm not pleading for you to understand, because truth be told, action needed to be taken.  I was unable to live up to the actions I chose to take.

Action will still be taken.  Don't think that just because I've stopped killing blues that I'm any less of a threat.

Underestimating me would be foolish.

#36300517607 11/05/2008 19:58:43 Re:Open Message Broadcast

I was hungry. And so I wandered upon a rather small field of berries. There used to be so many beautiful fields of ripe berries that seemed to glow with such dear vibrance and life, they would glimmer even in the dark so perfectly, so delightfully and delectably from their stems. But you see now in these fields, the berries that have grown ripe, fruit fallen from the stem, no longer lit in perfect rows. There's a certain joy in seeing all the elevator buttons lit, now it's like trying to piece together the intended picture of a child's Lite-Brite.

And this rather small field, rather empty field had only one berry strung to its stem, walking towards this alluring fruit I could not help but to tread upon spilt berry juice and mangled pulp, as if the fruit of the berries themselves tried to escape their skin and stem with much, much confusion. It was an interesting fragrance of near putrescent arugula and vinegared sandlewood.

The berry was about to ripen, what a shame it would be for this field to lay in darkened waste.

"WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. WHAT WHAT WHAT."

"Alo m'dear."

"WHAT. WHAT WHAT. WHAT. WHAT WHAT WHAT. WHAT."

I placed my palms over her berry eyes and held her berry head as she palpitated, until she calmed.

"It's..."

"It's..."

"It's not gone," I answered.

"But I saw it, but I felt it, my body was blown apart into so many.." she coughed, berry juice spat from her soft wet lips. She was heaving now, only her chest pumped up and down with great strain, she could never leave her stem and roll down the hill to play like the other berries did.

"So many.. many bits.."

"What do you feel?"

"It... it hurts... there's this weight over my eyes.. I can't see.. I can't feel my.."

"Shhhhhhhhh, hush my little rubus. There was an explosion, you are fully paralized and now blind," I could feel her tears coating the underside of my palm as she stayed silent within her sniffling breath.

"You were so very close to the blast that you were blinded by the burst. I know it is very scary, to lose your sight, to lose your body, for you the world you knew did disappear and you have never known a darkness like this. There is a whole world of caves within this darkness, there is life within this darkness, and one day you too may happen upon the fields of brilliant berries just like this one, if there is any left. But not today."

"But.."

"Goodnight my little rubus, remember that you still have your soul."

"Who are you.."

From a shoulder pocket, with my teeth I pulled a small syringe, and with my mouth and teeth administered my own brand of synthetic hormones; her fruit will never taste the same, but this will be one less empty field.

"Sallo~"

Her breathing neutralized as she fell into sedation. I slid my stone sharpened nails beneathe her eyelids and plucked my fare, then gingerly repaired the stems that held her.

This berry will still glow.

"There is a man who is dear to me, who also has no eyes. But he can see, and so will you."

If there were moment crops in space
I'd pick them like ripe roses
Pluck them as I would mountain berries
Then, place them in my satchel
And walk around as if I carried secrets instead.

Free humanity won't last long if you destroy the Matrix. The few resources we have in the Real will soon be depleted due to an influx of those forced to Awaken, especially since a lot of them will be needing intensive medical care. If they don't get lost in the tunnels or die first. Or are you going to take care of them all? I hope you're ready for that. You won't have time to keep up this little game of yours, which won't be a bad thing, unless the place completely destablizes.

However....

I've also seen an awful lot of activity in a fetal field south of us in what used to be Barcelona, where we found my son. I've also been reading more than the usual birth annoucements in the Sentinel....

Just because resources are not easily located does not mean that they do not exist.  Even the Miller wasn't aware that grain still existed until he led several expeditions to the surface... and more manpower can make such expeditions much more possible.

If that manpower is even healthy or mentally stable enough to take part in it. Ask QuiDormit about the utterly broken man he's helping take care of.

I haven't even been jacked in lately, and that's because I'm in the Real, trying to find parts for a dialysis machine for one of the kids we picked up, as well as the dialysate chemicals. Rei's kidneys are failing her because of an infection she caught while she was in that tunnel... Plus she's also developed a bad heart murmur and we may need to rig up a heart-lung machine for her. Yeah, she's really well-equipped to help in salvage expeditions, if she has to have every life support machine imaginable plugged into her.

Killing the people to save the people.  Where is the difference?

What you want to do is to kill off the bulk of the human population for the benefit of the elite group you are part of.  And that's just wrong.

If anything, this was more of a social experiment than a part of the actual campaign, but I'll be damned if it didn't work past my expectations anyhow.

Pathetic. Simply pathetic.

Bravo... Bravo... Are you quite done? Why, in the name of all the God's, would you even think anyone would care? Nobody would have given two thoughts about the bomb. If anything, you wasted a good hour just standing there. And for what? I don't see how this affects anyone other than your massively over-inflated ego.

Maybe you see this as a sign that we are all idiots and you are the only smart one here. If so, good for you. But you are not fooling anyone Neoteny. You are a dying breed, and thankfully, soon forgotten. So keep holding on to your dying tradition, but in the end, it won't mean anything.

Don't even pay him any attention, Links, he's like a bratty teenaged girl who decided to spoil someone's party because they all got tired of her drama queen antics. Even commenting on his stunts just gratifies him

Looks to me like he was providing everyone with an opportunity... that they were far too distracted to open the door to.  He was present for an hour, in which he could have been taken into custody.  Alas, he blew in and out the door with little or no notice from anyone present.

Oh well.

Maybe next time.

In the meantime, however...   *smirk*
