Did anyone watch the Singapore Grand Prix yesterday?
Formula 1 had its first night race and it was spectacular. It was amazing watching the worlds top drivers thrash it out under artificial light. The cars looked amazing, the track looked amazing and it provided some fantastic driving.

Yea, was a great race, but I was dissapointed.
I've not jumped onto the bandwagon that is hamilton just yet, I think he deserves a world championship, but not this year. For me Massa has done a lot more to get to where he has, considering he was Ferrari's no.2, having that problem with the traffic light system on their pitstop was just a shambles.
Other than that it was a really good race, and because of track setup and nightrace it made for an interesting event.

Well that was an eventful race, Alonso was lucky with getting the safety car out, which led to him winning.
I hope they have more night races like that because singapore gp was brilliant.

I caught the highlights and I really enjoyed it.
I'm with Aquatium, I'm not aboard the Hamilton bandwagon just yet. In my eyes he does some questionable things when racing and really pushes his luck as one of the commentators said during the previous Grand Prix two weeks ago. I'm glad Alonso got the victory because I like Alonso as a driver and he was superb when he won the championship a couple of years ago. I think the sign of a truely class driver is if they can win races at the likes of McLaren and Ferrari but also do it at the percieved lesser constructors. Like Vettl(sp?) who won a couple of weeks back.

I have to admit im a fan of Hamilton. Keep in mind that this is his second season in F1 and thus has a lot of learning to do. I do not doubt he will win many world championships. The only thing i dont like about Hamilton is that he walked straight into a top seat without having to work his way up like some of the other younger drivers. Ron Denis has been very shrewd in the way he has groomed Hamilton though.

I think Hamilton will definitely go on to win many Championships and I think he will probably win this years, it's just some of the things he's done and either got away with or has been penalised for doesn't sit well with me. There's no doubting his class, though, some of his passes are sublime.

I'm sorry but any race that takes over an hour or two to finish is just boring, unless of course if a car whipes out.

There were a few crashes, and some drama in the pit lane when Massa took out his pit crew with the fuel hose.

Not for the first time either. Seems Ferrari's new pit lane process needs a review. Twice he has been released into Adrian Sutil path in the pit lane. Arrogant Ferrari mindset. Pft. (doesnt mean i dont want a Ferrari roadcar when i make my first million )

We may well be seeing a night race in Melbourne next season... if the racing comission has their way. Stupid timezones. Albert Park Lake at night would be very dark.

Hmm a fast circuit at night ... that could be very interesting indeed.
