I would like to initiate a petition to the decision makers (Customer Service or whichever dept) to implement weekend events of the past. Each weekend during the designated time period a new event gets re-implemented. For example, weekend 1, Thur-Monday End of Beta; eyes in the sky, flaming agents, etc. Another weekend can be sleepwalkers and blue sky. Another can be Assassin NPC's (Since there is no LET to duel us in Mara C) spawns and Fly Monsters.
Baddies can drop goodies, nothing special, maybe just info increase or increase lvl 50 guns or something like that. Maybe old mission/event props like pdas, blue frags
Recycled; yes.
Nostalgic; YES!

*signed.
I've had a few weekends free and always find MxO dead. It was quickly worked out why on TS. But this would add some nice weekend life to the game.

For how long? Plus what would he effect be on new players when suddenly something not a part of the current story starts? I'm not opposed to having more stuff to do over the weekends and it would be nice to experience what I missed out on, but there are only so many of these events and many, many more weekends in a year.
Also wouldn't having these events mean shutting the servers down not only on a Thursday for general maintenance but also on a Friday and Monday for the turning on and off of these events?

Vinia's right, this would be a logistical nightmare. Plus it would make no sense in story terms and take up too much of Rarebit's time. Also it would discourage weekend player-events.

Im not too sure how to feel about this idea.
On one side it would be great to get to attend these events as if they were part of the game now and be part of them. On the other hand i get the feeling this might take the edge off live events including these old events. The fact that you were around when some of these old events gives you a certain level of prestige i believe, and making them openly available to all players kinda takes that away for me.

As much as I loved the old events, I'm with Vinia on this.
Perhaps you're onto something though, about having some increased CS interaction or something during weekends.

I figured weekends because there are no live events. So I think that makes sense. I mentioned Thur-Mon which could go along with one weekley server restart and then have a restart on monday morn.
New players would get the same patch-notes or Daily message we get explaining that it is a revival of an old message.
Player events can incorporate or disregard. That's what we do with Live events anyway.
As far as how often, just during a promotional period, maybe a summer or a 6 week stretch or whatever Shannon Morris decides. It it were up to me it would be random until I worked out the kinks with player feedback. But that's just what I was thinking.
