ELITE COMMANDO BOOTS - VARIATIONS?

I noticed today whilst farming commando gear.

That a commando had a pair of commando boots that were the same as a pair of Hosh riding boots but with the texture of the commando boot.

Completely different to the sock style we have now and to what the other commando's were wearing? :S

Can we get this variation?

How come this happens?

How come this happens?

We can not get this variation, and the elite commandos naturally have this type of boot.
