Woo nice, unexpected but nice. Why has part of the shurikens name been blanked out? o.O That aint on the current versions...
#36300500297 09/18/2008 09:40:23 Re:Image Retrieval - September 18, 2008
funky!
#36300500301 09/18/2008 09:45:19 Re:Image Retrieval - September 18, 2008

Never did a Daimyo box, nor would I want to go through that torture!  But, do those other shurikens drop from the biggies?

Also, I think the drop rate should be increased a little for the GM shurikens.

Sweeeeet.

I've not done any of the ninja stuff yet, though I've wanted to for a while. I'm looking forward to getting into farming them SMILEY

Interesting to finally learn the backstory to some of the colour variations, too bad most of the ninja stuff is un-soloable.

Good stuff Vir. Nice to see who are what in the ninja terminology, Spiritual Refinement, black in black, mmmmmm. Are we talking from a christian perspective or from a luciferian one here?

The presentation is awesome, lots of bonus stuff. As I scolled down and noticed all 16 styles, my eyes widened!

I think people are looking more for those new shades.

I haven't started this quest yet, but this IR definately makes me want to!

.....  I think Eval simply stated it best once, with this macro picture:
This-is-why-we-can't-have-nice-things!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think this image retriaval is kind of nice. It adds some depth and background to those Ninja NPCs.  Now when you are messing with them - at least it makes you kind of think about them and their associated colors.  Their names do really have meaning.  As to the weapons.  It's nice - and is meant to add some DEPTH and PERSONALITY to the game.  And learn a little about some Ninja culture while your at it. That is all Viraggo is trying to do.

So don't be such a poo-pants! At least try to enduldge in some enrichment and get into the game a little.  Otherwise - just sit there and continue to be bored to death, spending your $16 a month standing at the Hardline in a server all day doing nothing.  How fun is that? :/

Thank you for this!!

I am definitely saving all of these pictures, I like to collect pictures of things like this SMILEY The teal colored gi with the green trim, and the white underclothes is my favorite I think SMILEY

I knew a couple of these before this, as I did some research on them. Very nice presentation though, Virrago.

Given what we've heard about SOE's dodgy content management system, you have my sincere congratulations on putting together what is probably the most complex page on the whole site. SMILEY Or at least the news area. SMILEY
#36300500333 09/18/2008 11:05:24 Re:Image Retrieval - September 18, 2008
Might be useful to have the names of all those ninjas/shurikens for players who collect, at least.

Oh, why do we have to use the other link after September? New month comes and all the old news gets archived?

I'm trying something new... Once the news is archived the links stop working... check some of the old 4 month old Image Retrieval posts and you will see what I'm talking about. Currently, for me to fix those old ones I need to go through and edit each post and add the archived link. Which is going to take forever, so this way I'm just adding it before it is archived so I don't have to go back and edit it a month down the road.

The admin client I run to capture sneaky screenshots inserts a bit of debug junk before object names; it's kind of ugly and distracting so I covered it up.

Hehe, no, these are NPCs who are in the game right now. Pick up a Daimyo box from the Playground vendor near Debir Court in Mara, head over to your local archivist bookstore, and buy a key for transport to the Sati's Playground archive, where you can use the box.

Careful, though, they're pretty nasty. Also, you have to battle your way through some pretty tough plain black Kuniochi until you start getting the unique ones (they start at level 83).

Cool, thanks Virrago, always nice to have details on something...

Are we going to see the patch notes tonight? Is the update ready for tomorrow?

Not that I think its realistic to collect these other than as souveniers, but do they drop from the Kunioichi?  And is the drop rate more than 50%?
